Sept 2011 Jamaica Brides???

Recommended Posts

I am getting married Sept 2, 2011 and when I read some of the posts it seems that there are brides who are getting married after me and have planned soo much already.  My FI and I have just confirmed our date with the resort (Gran Bahia) and have worked with a TA to obtain rates for our groups. We have also contacted Janâ€s Floral since we have read that their prices are more affordable than Tai Floral.  Oh and I ordered my dress and have chosen my FI suit, the BM dresses and GM suits but that is really it.  So what have other Sept 2011 Brides done?  When are you sending out your wedding invitations?  When will your guests put down their deposits?  When are you booking your florist, DJ and photographers?  Have you decided what is going in your OOTB?

Im a December 2011 bride, and you have done way more than I have!  The only advice I received from my hotel was that Negril brides should book their photographer as early as possible, since they book up quickly.  I booked with one of the Sungold Associates.  But other than that, I pretty much just waste time browsing the internet for ideas.  No decisions yet.

As for STD and invites, I emailed my closest friends/family and told them which hotel, the costs, the dates, etc.  Most of them booked.  We are going to send out the more formal (and by formal, I just mean not an email) STD to all invitees after the holidays.  I am not sure when the actual invitations will go out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
