Wedding with 2 people??

Recommended Posts

How do i go about planning one?  Can anyone give me any tips?  My fiance and I are planning for somewhere in Jamaica,  preferably a beach type setting where we can also have a honeymoon after.

I haven't been yet but we are honeymooning at Couples Negril.  I have read nothing but good things about the Couples resorts.  There are 4 in Jamaica (2 in Negril and 2 in Ocho Rios).  It isn't as luxurious as some other resorts but how much time do you really plan on spending in your room anyway?  We were going to get married at Couples but our date didn't fit within their schedule so we're transferring from Sandals the day after the wedding for 5 days.

You can start with a travel agent.  I just went to my local AAA office and was given a bunch of information to base my decision.  If you work with a TA, they will know exactly what to do.  Much easier than trying to figure it all out yourself!  My TA is working to get all the details of the ceremony squared away before we arrive...I'd never have the patience she has to coordinate it all :-)

Get in touch with those resorts,travel agency or wedding planner. They'll be able to recommend something within your budget and desired settings. Some resorts are HUGE and some are pretty small,with bugalos. Some have a lot of activities and some are limited.

Happy planning ::

Hubby and I are going to Coral Cove Resort, in Little Bay, Jamaica.  I found this little gem online, went through every review on trip advisor, and it fits in perfectly for what we want.  They have a really great facebook page too.  Small, not overly commericalized, with more exposure to the culture of Jamaica, vs a beach with hundreds of white lawn chairs lined up...lol, not my gig, but doesn't mean its not great for others (my sister is going down for the wedding, but then moving on to one of the more bigger resorts in Negril.)

It will depend on what you want as a couple too, and whether you are bringing a lot of family and friends with you, or if you just want it for the two of you...

Congratulations!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
