A proposal story from Langkawi Island, Malaysia

Recommended Posts

On Monday, May 17th, 2010, Brian and Brie (B&B) were on Langkawi Island, just inside of the Malaysia boarder. They were staying at The Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa, in their very own 1 bedroom-ocean front villa. In the evening, one beautiful night after coming in from taking a dip in their private pool, Brian filled the bath tub with bubbles (warm water of course) and petals. Candles surrounded the bath. He had it all planned. Drawing a bath for Brie has never been customary for Brian before in their 3 years together.

As Brie was completely relaxed, smothered in bubbles.. Brian said " Close your eyes!" Brie giggled, She knew just then what was about to happen. How could it not? The world was still and Brie was tearing up fast!

Brian said "open your eyes". As Brie opened her eyes, she saw him kneeling beside the bath in a white robe. Brian reached out for her hands with tears in his eyes. "Baby, will you go to Jamaica with me!" (Brian and Brie always talked about eloping to Jamaica..lol.. “would it not be simple?†they thought).

As smooth as the couple is...... at the sound of Brianâ€s long anticipated question, Brie awkwardly slipped deep into the bath tub and choked on water as she cried happily, filled with so much emotion! lol... As Brie came up for air from the water, like Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Women (the movie), Brian padded the bubbles off Brieâ€s face.

Chocked up himself, Brian said "you haven't even looked at the ring." Brie looked slightly to the left. There was a tropical fruit tray and a cleverly placed Diamond ring amongst the grapes, with 2 glasses of celebratory red wine waiting. Brie cried some more and before she could speak…. Brie once again awkwardly slipped deep into the bath tub and choked on water as she cried happily, filled with so much emotion! lol... yes that did happen again : )

And once more, Brian gently padded the bubbles off Brieâ€s glowing face, she said "Just to be clear, of course I will go to Jamaica with you!"... wait for it... then B&B kissed and the ring was placed in its forever sacred location, its rightful place.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
