I found, that it's much easier to have the legal ceremony at home (Toronto) a week before our departure for El Cid, and just have a symbolic ceremony there... Because I heard that there's also about a 2 month wait for your certificate to be shipped back and then you'd have to deal with paperwork and translation and all that, and it seems like lots of headache...

I had asked for January 19th as well.  She said it was available, but apparently not.  Where are you getting married?  the beach, or the gazebo?  What time is your ceremony?  And what are you doing for dinner?  I guess maybe I will ask for the 20th lol .  Have you send your deposit already?  have any of your guests booked yet?  Sorry for all the questions!!

Ya i had asked for the 19th as well and was also told it was available and she let me know in an email that it was set for that date.  I will have to figure that out with her then and just make sure.  We had decided the gazebo/jetti......as far as the time we were hoping for 4 and then 7 for the meal.   We are just going to the meditteranean restaurant.  We have not sent the deposit yet and there are about 30 to 35 guests booked.  Hopefully we can work on a date....lol   Are you doing a legal ceremony or symbolic?

We are doing a symbolic ceremony.  I send Eva our wedding contract today for the 19th.  I had asked her in an email about another bride and she said no, there was nobody else.  Im sorry if we got the 19th. Hopefully you can get the 18th or 20th.   When are your guests arriving?  Are you going for one week or two?  Your guests have all booked already!! I haven't got any booked yet.  We are also eating at the Med. restaurant.  Did you use a travel agent?  I live in Ottawa, where do you live?

Hi there, I'm sure we will find another day.  I have actually been emailing Eva for about 2 weeks now and have not had a response, so I'm not sure whats going on.  It's frustrating when you want to get things in place.  We are all arriving on January 16 and a few of us are staying for 2 weeks, but the rest for one.  There are still some guests that need to book, but the majority of them have.  We did use a travel agent.  I live in Saskatchewan.  What email address do you have for Eva?  I just want to make sure it hasn't changed.  I had [email protected]

I have the same email as you.  I find that sometimes she replies right away and then I go days without hearing from her.  We are arriving the same day as you and staying for two weeks as well.  Most people will only come for a week.  We are coming from Ottawa but a lot of my family is coming from Vancouver Island.  Everyone is starting to book now.  I don't want them to wait too long.  I don't want the hotel to sell out.  Do you have your dress yet?

No I don't have my dress yet, but I did get my bridesmaid dresses.  I'm hoping start looking soon!  Are you getting married on the beach?  Are you guys going all inclusive? Are you doing the legal ceremony just before you go?  I think we will do it the day before we leave.  We are not telling any of our guests, it will just make things easier for everybody!

We are doing all inclusive.  We are getting married on the jetty then we will take photos on the beach.  We want to eat at the Med. restaurant too.  I'm not sure when we are doing the legal ceremony.  We might do it after, not sure yet.  We are only telling a few people it's not real (they are travelling all the way there to see us get married).  Are you doing all inclusive?  Any luck hearing from Eva (im still waiting).  I might have to call her.

We are getting married at 4:30 and then dinner at 7:00.  I have to confirm with Eva still about the dinner time.  Did any of your guests book a 2 bedroom suite?  What kind of room did you book?  Im staying in their small room (luxury).  Are you going to get your hair done at the spa?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
