Hey All- We are looking to do a site visit. Have any of you done a site visit? Or are looking to do so? My main question is -- did they offer you a discounted stay/rate for your visit, since you are getting married there (already booked) and bringing "x" amount of guests? Thanks for your help.

Were not doing a site visit. We vacationed at Sun palace last year and decided then that this is where we wanted to get married. You should definitely pose the question to during your site visit and hopefully they can offer you some discounts.

I requested site visit quotes for all of the resorts I was interested in visiting. Unfortunately, It was cheaper just to purchase a package on Orbitz then it was to pay per night with the special rate since we still have to purchase our flights.

What I did do though is after I booked, I emailed the hotel to ask for preference of room, etc. and had them note that I was scheduled to meet with the wedding planners during my stay. I'm pretty sure this will give us a little special treatment if anything.

I am leaving for my site visits on Thursday morning and every hotel that I am visiting offered me a discounted rate for the stay and some sort of credit towards the wedding if we book with them. I am staying at my #1 choice (Secrets Maroma) and visiting Excellence, Paradisus, and Cieba del Mar - each I have an appointment with.

Pick the weekend/week you want to go and reach out to each WC to let them know what you are thinking - it might get frustrating to confirmations but it will all work out - trust me :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
