Great Parnassus Brides????

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies,

Im just finishing planning my wedding there and yes it was a bit dificult to get a hold of the WC by e-mail so I picked up the phone and called her lol  the resort that is and they transferd me..ever since then shes been amazing..Everything is confirmed..they do  beach weddings and offer a wooden gazebo and a sound  system for $200 usd EXTRA NOT INCLUDED INT HE PACKAGE but its worth it cause the beaches in cancun are windy and you want your guests to hear you for .$1100 usd I got Decorated location chairs/chair covers w sash, sea shell/tiki torch lines aisle not including flowers, bouquet for me boutiner for my fiance, non demotional judge as for we  are getting married before we  go via jp!! Champange for all the guest to toast us and  she threw in instead of the mexican trio band 4 bridesmaid bouquets and wedding cake for all my gues!!!t For an extra $80.00 you can  get 2 flower arrangents to hang on the gazebo and then take them to the reception dinner for your head table( save$) and for 15usd rose petals for the asile/flower girl fresh flower petals. And then  we paid an extra $50 us for a private set menu reception dinner for a total price of... very good price if you look at other resorts your getting alot less for alot more and its absolutly beautiful there if youhave more questions let me know. Iamlucky however and have  a brides maid thatis  a hair dresser and is going to  do my hair cause Ibelive they charge $120-200 for your "up do" but it could have changed i asked a while ago about that!! We also recieve a seperate check infor our wedding guests and a welcome drink as well they have been very accomidating for us.

So far other then the last 3 weeks they have been amazing.. Ill  definatly let you know how the private reception pricing pans out currently were going to see if we can rent the Kareoke bar for 4 hours for the reception dinner I think that would be really fun and a good way to break the ice for some family and friends to loosen up lol!! And A more private place for the bouquet and garter toss/ speeaches and they already have a sound system and mic wired in the room...obviously haha.. Lwt me know I f I can help in any way It was rough for me in the begining cause I didnt see any one who had gotten married there...

Thanks for the information!  It is very frustrating not to get clear answers, but i guess it's to be expected!  Good luck with all your planning and keep us posted :)  When are you getting married?  Any information about a photographer?  I asked her but still haven't received an answer and there's nothing in the documents she sent me...

Thanks again!!

Sophie

Oh and I did end up planning the Private reception dinner I have rented out the terrace and Also hired DJ SLASH from coco bongos to D J at a very resonable price I never expected 31 people to come so I wasnt gonna fuss but now I think its necessary!! LOL So the crappy thing about this is yes it is an allin clusive resort... but when your having a plate service open bar reception and at a bar that normally closes at six! They are chraging me 15USD per person for alchol unlimited of coures premium brands and it think it works out to be 25USD per person for a 3 course meal  (salad/chicken entree/ dessert) I found the Dj through Pro Stage mexico I have the dj set up for 6 dj to start with our first dance at 7 till 11 with laser lights spot lights party favrors subs fog machine the whole nine yards for $765USD which is pricey but the dj makes the party for (300 USD) more then the other djs charge you for NOTHING you get a club feel and lighting which is important cause the resort doesnt include lighting in out door settings EX,,, I'am paying $150USD to have candles surround the pool and hot tubs and candles on pillers as centerpieces on tables that prior wasnt mentioned was a fee!! So there are a few things to budget for that i never expected but is a must!! You definatly cant have your guests in the dark!! ( sorry the terrace im having my reception on is the adults only pool area) There is no lighting up there for night I guess LOL! Oh and yes cause its connected to the hotle which is close to rooms (Above the area) we have to shut down at 11pm that is why i only have the dj till then! I wanted to have it longer which you can if your on the beach but Its pretty chilly at night and bugs/ wind off the ocean :( not my thing LOL!! So will just finish off the night at one of the bars probabley the kareokee bar since everyone will have alot of liquid courage in them! I hope this helps a bit anything else specific you want to know about  the wedding or prices let me know! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
