Has anyone heard or know of anyone that has been married at this resort?

I would prefer to get married at a smaller resort and this one seems to be it but I haven't seen anything about it on this forum at all. Also anyone in calgary that can recommend a good TA? I haven't started anything yet as i was waiting for pricing to come and now the TA I had was a freind and decided to get out of the industry so now i need help

I need it more for the resort if anyone has anything that would be great

I went there for a wedding a few years ago. I really didn't like the resort as there was nothing to do at night. You had to leave the resort to enjoy the nightlife. My buddy's wedding was on the beach and they had the reception in a secluded area. The reception ended at 11pm and there was nothing to do after except hang out at the lobby.

You can probably find better.

We stayed at the Royal Solaris our 2nd week in Cabo after our wedding--i wouldn't recommend it--especially not for your wedding. There really isn't much to do at the resort, and my husband and i both got super sick from eating the food. I think you should keep looking--there are SO many other (better) places in Cabo/San Jose. Check out postings on Trip Advisor to see more reviews about the Solaris--they are also SUPER pushy there about timeshares, etc. If you're not a member of their timeshare group, you sort of get left out. PM me if you want more info on it. good luck!

I stayed at the resort which is right next to Royal Solaris and when I was there (about 6 mths ago) Royal Solaris did not look well kept (lots of construction, one of the pools closed off, etc). Actually there only seemed to be a handful of people there. It did not look like a very nice place to stay when you look at the hotels that are near it... I think you would be disappointed if you had a wedding there... However, if you're into Royal Solaris, I've heard the one in Cancun is excellent and nothing like the one in Cabo.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
