Hi All -

I'm getting ready to print my save the dates up and am having a similar problem. We've decided to invite everyone to our DW at Dreams,Cancun and are actually anticipating a lot of people attending based on word of mouth responses. Our original thought was that we'd have an AHR upon our return but now we're thinking we'd like to wait and see what the response is to the save the dates. Do you guys think we need to decide on the AHR thing prior to sending out the STDs and including the AHR info on them? Or do you think I can wait and see how many people make travel arrangements and then include the AHR info on the formal invites that go out (if we decide to have one)? Basically I don't want to wind up having an AHR if all the important people in our lives are able to join us in Cancun.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Also, did anyone include AHR info on their STDs? If so how did you word it?

Thanks!

I don't think you have to have the AHR figured out right now. We aren't sure if we're doing an AHR after we get back or not. But I think if we decide to have one, we'll invite everyone to the wedding in Mexico without mentioning the AHR. The AHR would be probably 2-3 months after we return anyways and once we see what our actual responses are for the wedding, we'll probably send an "Announcement" with invitiation to the AHR to those who arent' able to attend the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
