There was a thread about buying champagne at Costco which lead to a discussion about corkage fees. I thought it would be helpful to start a new thread...

 

Below are the corkage fees for the Fiesta Americana Grand for 2006. They went up 8% in 2007, but this gives you a baseline.

 

Corkage Fee 2006

 

Domestic Liquor $25.00 usd

 

Imported Liquor $ 30.00 usd

 

Domestic wine $20.00 usd

 

Imported wine $25.00 usd

 

Prices for 25 oz bottles only

 

Champagne 30% of our listed price.

 

Corkage fee for liquor does not include any mixer. Mixers are charged separately at $4.00 usd each

Corkage does not apply for bottled water, mixers or beers.

Please apply 10% tax and 15% service charge to all prices

Thanks KM for posting all of that.

 

I did the math for our guests and even with bringing in our own alcohol, paying the corkage fees and the mixer pricing, it didn't amount to any savings for us to do it on our own.

 

I was acutally pretty surprised.

 

So we're going to do it all on consumption, and hope that some people just like drinking water! HA!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
