Trying to choose?

Recommended Posts

Ok so we are thinking of trying to chose where to get married! We like the idea of Jamaica.

We have been looking at Sandales and Couples resorts. We did check with a travel agent because we have some single friends that are going to come (we are only going to have like 10-25 people is what we think. )

I am worried about how the resorts will be for our friends and family.

I am looking for the best service and the best food! Brian is a seafood lover and steak. He is not into a huge varity! And the best night life kind of thing for us.

Any advice?smile29.gif

Sandals Montego Bay may be the best option for you as the nightlife there is pretty good and Sandals food & beverage is really good! Couples may be a bit too quiet.

Keep in mind with Sandals they only have king size beds at their resorts and they will charge singles for double occupancy! For some of my couples this has been fine and they have guests room together with no problem- but if you have guests that may be on the "prowl" then Sandals will not be a good fit! LOL Typically when there is a group, everyone hangs out together so the singles don't feel uncomfortable at a couples only property!

My second recommendation is the same as TA Maureen -get married at property like the Iberostar or Riu's- that caters to everyone, and honeymoon at a Sandals (most of them are a bit more lively- there are a few that are really quiet to so definately use a TA that knows Sandals! ) or at Couples ( a touch quieter).

TA Maureen could assist with both the family property and Sandals/Couples!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
