Wow, I guess I'd better contact them then. I'm not too surprised. They only seem to be responsive after I've had to send them an email first...same thing happened with the online booking :) Unless we get a last-minute guest, we are at 26 including myself and my fiance. Hopefully, I can reserve the first seeting then :) Maybe your guests will appreciate the nap or time to take a swim between the wedding and dinner. Where is your wedding going to take place? I've heard some negative feedback about their beach weddings, but our whole reason for going to Mexico was to be married on the beach. I don't want to give that up. I'm pretty nervous about it being weird, but I'm sticking to the beach anyway.

Kristin, Thanks for letting me know that you had spoken with Cynthya and about the dinner policy. I sent them an email and got one back shortly after asking me to make the basic choices. They didn't even give me the option of the first seeting originally. I'm so glad that you explained that. I asked about the first seeting since we're under 27 so now we're eating at 6:45 cheesy.gif Sorry it's not working out that way for you sad.gif PM me with your email. I can't promise that I will be able to connect on a computer or my iphone but I will try my best to do so when I'm in Mexico. Maybe I can help you even a little bit while I'm down there?

 

Kara, We are doing a beach wedding at Riu Yucatan also. Hopefully, after my wedding next month, I'll be able to give you some reassurance that it's not so bad...or some tips to make it better.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
