Hey just wondering if anyone has information on the el encanto inn and were they to have a reception in the area? I have gotten some information from the hotel but won't be able to do a site visit so was hoping someone has been there and has some information on the area and things to do as well as how much a wedding there costs?

Thanks Ladies

Hello! I am getting married there in April and would be more than happy to forward you some pic's and information about the venue later tonight. There is a fairly large courtyard area in front of the chapel and that is where we plan on doing our reception and we are expecting approx 60-70 guests. Blanca who manages the El Encanto is very helpful and if you contact her by e-mail she can provide you lots of information. Good luck with everything!

It's a great part of town. Personally I'm not a big fan of Cabo San Lucas I like San Jose Del Cabo a lot better, it's smaller and quieter. It's kind of an artsy feeling part of town and I feel like it is much more romantic and intimate than anything you could do at a big resort. The El Encanto is just right off the center of town and is within walking distance of pretty much everything. I don't currently have a wedding coordinator and don't think I will be needing one. Blanca is so helpful that I don't feel like I need to bring in anyone else, I am meeting with her next week and can give you more details once I get back if you like? I hope it ends up working for you because it's just beautiful!

my parents stayed at el encanto during my wedding week and ADORED the place. let me get some photos from my dad to post here for you. also, if you do some searching for an old member named "CoreyPhil" she got married on the grounds at El Encanto in the chapel. I believe her reception was at La Panga Antigua. Let me see if I can find an old post or two of hers for you....

shoot this is the only one i can find with photos that she posted:

I have a lot of pictures I can post once i get back from Mexico. We met with Blanca yesterday and she was very nice and really easy to work with, we are doing the reception right there in the courtyard in front of the Chapel and she recommended a great caterer who did a tasting for us yesterday. I have heard a lot of good things about La Panga Antigua as well but we are expecting too many people to do it at a restaurant. This venue is so charming I hope it works out well for you too!! I'll post some pics next week once I'm back.

Can't wait to get your the information you find out while there. I to think we will be doing the reception at the courtyard. We are looking at 90 people. What caterer are looking to go with? We are going to set up a time to go down and meet with all the vendors in a month or so. Thanks for your help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
