Sarah, when I get home I will take a close up pic of the clear label thing. I only have to make 24 since that's how many tables I will have but I cannot imagine trying to print on tissue paper.

Well Tammy, apparently they have great quality candles at Target (note to self for the future). However in this instance I'm really wishing it wasn't such a great candle. I burned the darn thing all afternoon and evening yesterday and it's nowhere near the tissue paper. So, I lit it again this morning. Somehow I think this is going to take a few days until we know the answer.

So far it's just burning down the inside. That's what I'm most interested in...HOW it burns. If it burns like that I'm totally doing them. Then there's no way it will catch on fire. Especially since I couldn't get it to burn yesterday even when I tried!

Sarah,

I'm interested to hear how your candle burning went. I think your tissue idea would work better than a label which will melt if/when it gets to that point.

So you tape the tissue (1 ply?) to a piece of paper and print.

That would be great if it only burns inside and then your image should glow like a luminary.

Well Angela, I'm on day 3 of burning this darn candle. It's burned down the middle about halfway down the candle. It looks awesome in the dark- totally like a luminaria. Now I think I want to make huge ones to use as my centerpieces...

I'll update again when the candle burns to a more satisfactory level for me to determine that it won't burn people's houses down!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
