So I just signed up to be part of the CIBC Run for the Cure. I did this last year as well and was so excitied when I got a phone call to go do it again. I have been so busy with wedding plannig, child raising and working that I forgot that it was coming up right away. This is a 5 km walk/run/ride kind of a thing and it is across Canada on Oct 5, 2008. I am at risk of breast cancer as it runs in my family. My Aunt is a breast cancer survivor and I have a couple Great Aunt's that weren't able to fight it off, as well as a couple of my Mom's cousins. Now all my Aunts and my Mom have to go for yearly mammograms too. They have made such an advancement already in this area, and hopefully these fundraisers will save my friends, family, myself, my kids and my grandkids one day if any of them have to deal with this awful disease.

If there is anyone that wants to take part in the run in their area here is the link https://www.cibcrunforthecure.com/ht...?error=cookies

If you are unable to participate but would like to make a donation to the cause you can also do so https://www.cibcrunforthecure.com/ht...2&languageid=1

If you have someone that is dealing with another form of cancer or some other disease, maybe you could reach out and help that cause instead. I challange everyone to do something, no matter how small or big, whether it is a donation, fundraising or voluteeering to help a cause that is close to your heart.

Let us know what cause you are reaching out to!

Hi Erica good for you. I do a walk called Hero to Hero it's only in my local area, it supports the families of the local firefighters that died in a fire about 5 years ago and also supports their fire companies.

I wanted to do the Cancer walk last year but the one i joined had people walking across a bridge which I could not do, so i just sent a donation. I'm hoping this year there will be no bridge.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
