Adventura Spa Palace, WC

Recommended Posts

I have finally got the right date and time for our ceremony. It took several days and several emails before we got everything right. I was just wondering if anyone had this problem with the wedding coordinator or wedding sales associate.

I had been talk to the lady at palace resorts through email about trying to get our wedding at a certain time and date. Well, the original date I wanted was booked so it was going to be the following day, which was putting it on a Thursday. I really wanted the ceremony to be earlier in the week. The WC told us the only way we could have the ceremony 2 business days after arrival was if we did the symbolic wedding ceremony. At this time I had not even thought about do the legal part in the US. So I talked to the fiancé and we decided after researching on here that it might actually a lot better to get legally married first. So, I emailed the WC back and told her we wanted the symbolic wedding on Oct 28th at 3pm.

The next day I get an email for the WC. She attached the contract for us to sign and fax. At this point I was very happy that everything was settled. I opened the contract and immediately noticed several things that were wrong.

First thing I noticed the contract said we lived in Arizona and not Arkansas. This is a common mistake people make. They think that AZ is Arkansas for some unknown reason. Not too big of a deal. I keep looking and they have us getting married at the wrong resort. They had moon palace on the contract. This is when I start to get uneasy.

On further inspection, they had us having the ceremony on the 30th at 5pm.

I email her back and tell her all the things that were wrong. She replies, “I changed the resort to Aventura Spa Palace but I am sorry we can not have a ceremony that early. There has to be 3 business days after arrive. And as for the state I have no idea what you are talking about.â€

I email here back with the quoted email saying we could have it in 2 days with the symbolic ceremony and asking here about the time. The whole time I was talk to her I never once told here 5pm anywhere. I also explained to here the state issue. She then finally emailed me back with a correct final contract.

That was very painful to go through. I just hope that everything is planned as the contract states. And I am very glad we finally have our date and time.

Did anyone else have this problem?

That's interesting (and annoying!). I'm just wondering who you were speaking with. I am meeting with Dulce this weekend for a site inspection and would like to know if this is something that I should be concerned about with her. Thanks!

Well, it was the Wedding Sales Coordinator for Palace Resorts. So I think that wedding coordinators at the individual resorts are different. I believe this lady work with all the resorts. So I do no think you would have to worry. I would just read your contract carefully to make sure everything is right.

We had the same issue!! The ladies in Miami are terrible about getting things right. The first time they gave our date away, the second time they gave us the wrong date, the third time the sent the contract with wrong information...finally got it right the fourth time, which in all took over two weeks!! However, we are now working with the wedding coordinator and she has been very helpful, accurate, and prompt. Good luck!! It's probably just the language barrier!!

wow - i am so sorry you are having such problems. i am also getting married in October (9th) at ASP and i have been extremely pleased with our resort contact. I have e-mailed her many times about various things and every time, i get a response in a day or less, and if she doesn't know the answer, she forwards the e-mail (and cc's me) directly to someone at the resort.

Now that you finally have your date and time set, i hope everything goes much more smoothly for you!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
