smile159.gif I've been competing for 4 years now, in figure... but I'm going to try bodybuilding too this year.

Soooo, the problem that I'm having is this...

I start dieting for a June 9th show, targeting a weight of 110 (I'm 145 now...) and given the fact that it may take a while to find the right dress, and then to have it ordered...

Ideally I'd like to be at a weight of 120 - 125 for W-Day, so do I go soon and order one to fit me now, and just have it taken in... or do I chance being able to find the right one later (at my ideal weight)??

I'm probably making this more complicated than I need to...

In my opinion after competition you will be back to 120 or so. Order your dress then. I would start trying dress now though! Just to get a good idea of what styles you like vs. what really looks good on. I could find your wedding date so I would magine that you have at least a 4 month window after your June competition. Plus, with new dresses coming out now and the next month or two you don't want to get you hopes set on a last year style that can't be ordered.

 

I'd love to see your progress! What's your target weight for fitness competitions?

We're looking at March/April 2008... so Yeah, I have some time after contest. But I tend to be overly Type A and will want the dress hanging in the closet 6 months before the wedding!! (loser, I know)

Target weight for contest is 110 (NOT my ideal body weight as far as I'm concerned) but you're right about the weight gain right after - I'll be back up to 125 in no time!

Maybe if I wait - I can catch some sort of sale (does that even ever happen??)

Sales happen all of the time!!! You actually have so many options for samples at bridal salons as well as couture designers which never really go higher than a 4. Aside from samples, BM dresses just in ivory or white is another option if you want somethink simple and sexy to show off that figure.

 

I understand about wanting to have your dress early. Sometimes it's better to wait a bit especially looking at pics on here. If can make you question your judgement... been there done that.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
