So I love my powerpoint program, I find myself busy creating stuff in there because it isso easy to create everything in. However, I'm worried, because when I go to start my invitations.

Why? This is why.

When I go to open a saved image from PP to my Word program, it won't let me. If I copy it to clipboard, all of my work disappears and it goes back to original format. So, if I save/copy the image into paint, it's okay, until I go to save it- then the format of it get's fuzzy. AKA- look at my signiture.

I'm so lost, I've tried to do some research on it and I can't find anything, I tried to take it to the girls on another board and they wouldn't help me because "it doesn't have anything to do with them." Grrrr....

So, if someone could give me a suggestion, that would be great. I'm sure it's just something really simple. :P

Hi Heather - have you tried copying and pasting the images an enhanced metafiles? I find that helps.

Also, why not just do your invites in powerpoint? If you need a template, and are using boarding passes, PM me with your e-mail and I'll forward you mine - I've done them entirely in PowerPoint.

powerpoint pictures are saved at 150 dpi. For an invite youd want atleast 250 dpi at the size you are printing. I've gotten around this by making my powerpoint file 2x the size I needed.

But on the web it shouldn't look fuzzy. I saw someone else have this problem, but I never have. Maybe its how you insert & save.

I'll see if I can find my steps for making a powerpoint picture...

I'd use a blank layout. Then do insert-->picture from file

Hold shift as you resize your pictures so they don't get squished.

Drag all the pictures around however you like them. Then say insert-->text box to write stuff. When you are done, group it all (ctrl A to select everything, draw-->group) then right click--> save as picture.

If there is a black box in your picture you don't want, you may need to make a white box & put it behind your pictures.

Another easy thing that works (for text as well) is to do your picture/image/text and then copy it and do a paste special as picture. This is what I did last week when I had a text box and image that I needed to put upsidedown and it worked great. Someone on here gave me that little trick to. Thanks as always!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
