FI's hair consultation (lol)

FI has been growing out his thick wavy hair for a few weeks now to try to get a different look going. Now that it's a few inches long, he's freaking out over how to style it.

So he asked me about seeing a stylist for a consultation. I agreed and recommended that he visit my most favorite hair salon. They specialize in thermal reconditioning i.e. hair straightening (which I get done every 4 months), but are experts in working with natural and artificial curly/wavy/straight hair; I should know…I’ve been through all of those phases with them lol.

He said ok, but it would be a few days before he could go into NYC, so he'll see someone local first. Fine.

He then makes an appointment with his cousin's stylist. I get a call 5 minutes ago with him yelling, "The first thing she said was that my hair was very healthy....so I should think about RELAXING IT" pokestick.gif

LMAO! I'm sure that's not so out of the ordinary when a guy requests his hair to go from curly to straight, but isn’t a consultation more of a how to work with your own natural hair? rofl.gif

I can’t believe that's all she recommended to him! And you figure she's be a little more in tune with the basic wham-bam glob the gel on guy needs considering she works with his cousin's hair…then again, his cousin is gay so maybe she’s not lol!

Needless to say, he's now booked with my guy…..and the ironic thing is, he specializes in relaxing hair, but probably would never mention that to him! rofl.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
