Derek and Lorena were excellent from the beginning to the end. From our initial meeting with Derek in Toronto to our correspondence through emails, Derek and Lorena made our destination wedding a little bit easier (considering coordinating with the hotel is difficult at best and neither of us spoke any Spanish).  He has worked with a majority of the resorts in the Mayan Riviera and had a good understanding of our resort and knew when and where to shoot our wedding.  As mentioned in several of their reviews – Derek and Lorena are a great team to have you help in planning your wedding in Cancun/Mayan Riviera area. They were available for even the small things of researching Florists, following up with hotel contacts, or finding the ideal Cenote to shoot our “Trash the Dress” shots.  Derek and Lorena went far beyond the ‘standard’ wedding photographer duo and have become friends to us now.

The wedding day goes by so fast – you really only begin to remember the day when you look back at the photos.  Our initial reaction was – they are fantastic!  You hardly notice the setting/scenery or details of the wedding day until you review the pictures and we can’t thank Derek and Lorena enough for being so thorough and accommodating to our requests.  We offered Derek suggestions as to how we'd like to capture certain shots and he was more than welcoming to all our ideas and suggestions. He made each photo work and we now have a lifetime of wonderful memories of our wedding day.

Being dedicated professionals, Derek and Lorena arrived at the crack of dawn the next morning to shoot some sunrise “Trash the Dress” shots at the beach and then drove us around to find a great Cenote to shoot the remaining Trash the Dress shots. We received all our photos in RAW and JPEGs as we requested and he provided all the original shots on DVD for us to keep and to select our favs for editing. Although the DVD does not come with a photo album, we understood this from the beginning knowing that we would produce our own album (with Derek’s help of course) to encompass all the joy and happiness of our wedding day and evening. Everyone from our wedding couldn't stop complimenting Derek and Lorena for their great photo ideas and their super friendly personality, and Derek and Lorena did an outstanding job ensuring they captured all the candid moments and mingled well with all our friends and family. Our wedding day was truly complete with Derek and Lorena working behind the scenes to capture every moment (from putting on the makeup to walking down the aisle to the evening reception), they stayed with us til the very end and went above and beyond the call of a wedding photographer.  Thank you guys – we hope to see you guys soon again – whether it be in the warm tropics of Mexico or the cooler familiar area of Toronto.
