Pros: dedicated, fast worker, hard worker, captures all the important memories
Cons: none!

Video was important to my husband and he was the one who wanted to pick the videographer. He poured over YouTube videos of all the videographers in the Punta Cana area and picked Pascal’s videos (by Caribbean Emotions).

Pascal is amazing. I asked him to come just before 6am to capture the sunrise ceremony and then around 4pm to capture some getting ready before the reception and to stay until 10pm. He showed up super early for the sunrise ceremony and captured some getting ready of me in the morning. He also stayed a little late since our reception ran a bit later than anticipated and he wanted to capture all the important parts and surprises we had planned for our guests.

Pascal is super dedicated. We talk through FB messenger all the time and I’ve learned more and more about him and his work through that. I knew that the week of my wedding, he had a lot of other weddings to film. I told him that he didn’t have to get the video ready that quickly for me and that he could even mail it to me later and I would just wire transfer him the money. He refused, he showed up with a laptop, ready to show me the video (because I told him I didn’t bring a laptop to watch the video with and Breathless did not have access to computers with DVD players), but I fell asleep and my husband didn’t wake me up – he went to go meet Pascal himself.

I got to watch the movie he made for us when I got home. It’s 55 minutes long and it shows all the important parts of the wedding – both times getting ready, the ceremony, the décor, the guests arriving, the soul train at the end, the crazy hour show and the fire show and our awkward first dance. Not only can you play it, but he makes scenes so you can pick out the parts that you want to watch. He was also about to cut out speedo guy from the video without making it noticeable that some of the video was cut out because some rando-guy in a speedo decided to poke his peen out while standing behind the altar.

He really is a sweetheart, too. He loves his work and he really enjoys video. I never felt awkward with him around, a camera pointing at me all the time, at some points he just disappears into the background. The fact that he gets the video edited and ready for you in just a few days, then comes back to meet you at your resort to give it to you is so awesome. I actually had no idea that I was getting a full edited movie. I thought he was going to give me some raw footage of important parts and then a mini YouTube video. My husband and I were watching the video and he said, “One day, our kids are going to watch this,” to which I responded, “I’m so glad that we chose Rihanna’s cake for our cake cutting song, nothing like the words ‘Imma make you my bitch’ to really signify to our future kids how much we love each other.” It was really nice to have a video – you miss SO MUCH out of your ceremony especially, do not cut this out of your budget. Pascal makes great videos, works really hard, gets your video to you really fast, and his rate is really affordable – you absolutely must make room in your budget for video and Pascal is definitely the guy you want. He’s awesome.

Just a note that any one of my friends who did not get a videographer immediately regretted it after. We almost didn’t do video and I would have been SO devastated because (and all my friends agree), the ceremony goes by so fast and you aren’t really “present” in the moment, you don’t remember everything, you don’t catch everything. Do not skip on videography, it’s not worth it. Pascal is incredibly affordable, works hard, is dedicated, gets you your video quickly – there’s no reason not to get video with a guy like Pascal around!
