Pros: Wedding coordinators Jenny and Yana, they really are amazing! hotel romantic spots for weddings, great service and all staff is very friendly!

We had our wedding at Dreams La Romana and it was amazing in all senses!!! We are so glad we had our wedding there. Our wedding coordinator was Jenny, who is a great-great coordinator and awesome person! She really knows how to handle everything, and I’m a veeeery detail-oriented person, but once I met her and saw that she controlled every aspect of what I wanted, I was totally relaxed

We got married at 4pm at the Garden Gazebo, we had 50 guests. Our wedding colors were white and purple, and Jenny managed to have the right colors for the chairs sashes and the Gazebo:

In the middle of the ceremony (catholic) it started raining, so we used the parasol that Jenny put as decoration (originally intended for the photo shoot the day after the wedding), that parasol was quite helpful!  The priest continued under the rain as if nothing, and Jenny kindly got the guests umbrellas. That rain now makes part of our treasured memories, because guests stuck with us until the end of the ceremony, it was great

Still, we could make the group pictures and everything in the garden, since it stopped raining

These pictures were taken right after the ceremony:

Afterwards, we had the cocktail at the Seaside Grill terrace, and the dinner and party inside the Seaside, to have the air conditioning and more privacy.

The theme of our wedding was the butterflies. I did all the decoration items (DIY projects since I am a designer and had previous experience in doing menus, invitations, programs and seating cards for other brides), so I ordered Jenny the flower centerpieces, which I wanted them to have the butterflies attached to the roses. She did an AMAZING job with all the decorations, menus and everything that I gave her. I don’t have the professional pictures yet, but my friends’ pictures give an idea of the decoration:

For the reception we took the DJ upgrade and it was so worth it! They had lights, effects, it was just beautiful, and the upgrade also included the MC who was incredible. He was animating the whole night, announcing the first dance, when I tossed the bouquet, he can do it in different languages, it was a great choice.  The party was great! Everyone danced until they couldn’t feel the feet

The dinner also was very good, a wide selection (we had a buffet since we were over 50 people) and people just loved everything.  My guests were amazed by Jenny, she helped out during part of the wedding with anything needed, she even arranged to find a sofa for putting my 3 years old sleeping nephew! Jenny and Yana, they really know what they are doing and they go out of their way to make your dream wedding come true!

The hotel was also amazing, my wedding was quite international with people from France, Holland, Spain, the US, Mexico, Brazil… and they all loved the hotel. The adored the landscape, the food, the service, at the hotel everyone is always smiling at you. Dreams La Romana Hotel has a superior level of service.

For the rehearsal dinner we had a bonfire, and it was great! Everyone loved it. Here are some pictures:

Two days after the wedding we rented a car and went to La Romana town and made some local-flavored pictures, like the one in a “motoconcho”, or the one in the typical Dominican grocery store drinking the “national” beer Presidente. Afterwards, we had the trash the dress at the hotel… and poor dress, but it was a great moment!

Great moments, laughs with friends and family, amazing landscape and a romantic spot for the ceremony, delicious food and great music with the animation of an amazing MC, and of course a great wedding coordinator, that was the receipt to have a wedding that all of my guests declared as “The Wedding of the Year” for them LOL, it was truly the wedding of my dreams!

I wish to all the brides an amazing experience full of happiness, and relax, I assure you that Jenny and Yana are great in what they do, and they will help you make your dreams come true. All the best for the new brides!

What a gorgeous wedding! How much was the total for this experience? I have been shopping around and I am having a hard time getting any responses back from the wedding coordinators. Also, was the ride from the airport to the hotel a problem? It seems so far from the airport. I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Thanks.
