Pros: wedding coordinator
Cons: time restrictions

The wedding coordinators are awesome, they take care of everything, and it’s like David Tuttera in the Dominican Republic. I spent a year worrying about nothing; it is so lay back those 2 hours before the wedding I was swimming in the pool with my friends.  I brought all my own stuff which really was not necessary since they had everything, but I am like that.

We had our ceremony at 6:15 originally schedule for 5:30 but my fiancés family took forever to come down from the rooms. Everything was decorated beautifully, it was amazing.

oh before I forget this is the Las Vegas of the Dominican Republic about 3 weddings a day, but they make you feel like you wedding is the most important one, and unique for every wedding they change the decoration and set up, every wedding is unique. Also there is no obligation to do anything, if you don’t want to serve food you don’t have to, if you don’t want a reception, they accommodate that as well.

Anything you want they do, we had a beach party as a reception with a full international bar, our own signature drink (awesome and it was blue) we had cocktails, since we decided to give guest the chance to go back to their rooms and get comfortable and eat before the reception .BIG MISTAKE!!!!... They took forever to return for the reception causing us to loose nearly an hour of the 3 hours we had paid for, that is the only thing I would take back. Dream PB, is very strict about time, literally at 9:59 party is over, and they are like this about everything, which is a good thing just not for the reception. I would advice you to consider time when planning your wedding. Well lesson learned. We had 37 guests, but 5 didn’t come for the reception. We used HDC photos, had our ceremony at the gazebo and a beach party reception (as described above) we used our best man as a DJ they provided all the equipment necessary. We rented a dance floor the most expensive thing on our bill, (it was not that great a little uneven my mom fell and scraped her knee really bad, but it was installed in the sand).

Overall it was an amazing experience... everything was better then I imagined. Yeisy and Melani are great they work magic, I would definitely recommend Dreams Palm beach for a destination wedding.

The hotel is beautiful, not crazy about the food but my family loved it, the service is the best part they are so nice everyone says hello and is so nice... my mom complains about everything and they still took care of her and did not loose their cool, which I did a few times. Amaury the concierge was very nice and helpful (I had a little room issue, but he took care of it right away) Mr. Torres the reservation manager is very accommodating even though I was a complete Bridezilla when I first arrived.

Girls if you are considering Dominican Republic and you want a beautiful stress-free wedding DREAM PALM BEACH IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

Hi CBride.... I just booked to get married here on January 5, 2013... so I am new at this to.

Did the wedding coordinators send you an email of the different wedding packages? There is alot of choice... and you can add on as well. I am confused though, so I don't know how much taxes, etc are included on the packages. I kind of want an idea to how much we are spending when all is said and done.
