We were married January 2012 at Dreams Tulum (Riviera Maya).

Preparing for your wedding some 4000km away is not a straightforward affair.   One of the most critical - and often frustrating - parts of a Destination Wedding is communication with the Resort where you will host your big day.  We were lucky to have a wedding co-ordinator take care of most of the details with very little issues.  This still leaves you with things like Photography to consider, which may or may not be included with your wedding package.  Although we had photos included in our package, we wanted a professional photographer in addition.

We decided to use Photos in Cancun after reviewing their portfolio as published on the PIC website.  I was delighted that email communication from the start was timely, detailed and Derek Campbell and Lorena always answered our questions quickly, no matter how simple or silly they were. I am amazed at how often small businesses let themselves down when it comes to client communication and I can testify that Derek and Lorena will ease any fears.  This is important when you have never met face to face and are only reading other reviews:  it installs confidence that their approach to your wedding photography is professional.

On our big day Derek and Lorena kept us smiling (even managed to get me to smile, as I’m not particularly in love with getting my picture taken). They followed us during the Ceremony and afterwards at our Reception.  At no point during this time did Derek look at his watch and I was pleased to see that it was the creativity and quality of service that was important, not the time onsite rushing to get photos taken before departing for the next gig.  After we returned from Mexico, we were asked to choose which photos we loved the most and how we would like them edited.

The result is a beautiful album which we’ll be enjoying for many years to come.  Thanks to Derek and Lorena for making us both look so good!
