We had our wedding at the Barcelo Maya Palace on April 4/12. Obviously, we do not have our pictures so I will update this once we have received them.

Photography is VERY important to me, and my husband hates having his picture taken, he never looks like himself and is very uncomfortable. I literally spent days/weeks searching for a photographer, looking at thousands of pictures. Ivan's work caught my eye, and I kept going back to him. I contacted him for information, and he responded right away. He was very professional and extremely helpful, offering advice on ceremony times and locations. His help was very much appreciated, this man knows what he is doing!! I booked Ivan nearly a year in advance as this was one of the very first wedding decisions we made, besides the resort.

For an entire year, I kept tabs on Ivan and his current work, which just made me more and more excited for him to shoot our wedding! My husband was soooo tired of listening to me and having to look at Ivan's latest work :) And I am sure the rest of my family felt the same way lol. I did continue to look at other photographers after we booked Ivan, but Ivan was (and still is) number one to me!!

After we had our photo shoot with Ivan and his lovely wife, my husband was absolutely raving about Ivan, and going on and on about how excited he is to see the final product. He was beyond impressed with them. Prior to meeting and working with Ivan, my husband was not at all excited or even remotely looking forward to the photography portion of our wedding!! Ivan had asked us if we had any specific pictures or locations in mind, and I told him I want drama and romance.....and he just ran with it. I have seen many many pictures that Ivan has taken at the resort we were married at, and he did not go to the same places and do the same thing that I had seen in previous pictures, which I LOVED and appreciated very much. He has an amazing way of photographing YOU as you are and how you truly interact as a couple, not staging you in awkward (and in my opinion, cheesy) poses, coming up with something fresh and new in a place that he has photographed many times previously. He is a perfectionist and would have us move an inch, or even half an inch in order to get the exact picture that he had in his head. When he had an idea he took the time to make sure that it turned out the way he imagined, and not just settle on it being close enough. He literally was laying on the ground, moving things around and sweeping the floor to get that `perfect`picture. True talent, dedication and creativity!! We had a couple sneak peeks at some of our images on his camera, they were above and beyond - and that is just on his camera! Thus far, they have lived up to every very high expectation that I have had, and we absolutely cannot wait to see our pictures!!!!

If anybody is even considering using Luckie Photography, you won`t be disappointed!! The money we paid to the resort in order to bring Ivan in was by far the best $300 that we spent on our wedding!!

We have received our pictures, earlier than expected, and could only be happier if we would have booked him for TTD.......which I only have myself to blame!!
