Value 5/5: I was meticulous about choosing a photographer. I wanted a great photographer (not just good), that wasn't ridiculously priced. I found that with Juan. Our resort had a contract photographer that we had already paid for so we used them for the reception, but the quality of Juan's photos were far better for the same price. 

Communication 3.5/5: Juan was pretty quick to respond to emails early on, but was a bit slower after the wedding. I know he was very busy during this time, but it did make us worry a bit. He always responded though. 

Performance: Juan brought Daniel as his assistant. They were there ahead of time, scoping out the scene and taking some pics. Once I finally got to my room, Juan was waiting and went to work right away. Daniel was with the guys, taking their getting ready shots.

Unfortunately, the salon made the entire wedding late, which meant we were running out of daylight for good photos. I was really disappointed about this because the photos were the one thing I really cared about and I didn't enjoy things as much as I would've if we had more time. But Juan was great to move everyone along quickly to get the shots we needed. It ended up working out well because the sunset made the clouds look incredible. We were all running around and sweating, but the photos were amazing. Juan was also really creative with the flash and the parasol. He stayed a bit longer than the 3 hours, which we appreciated. Those 3 hours flew by!

My one complaint was that it took close to 6 weeks to get the photos, when the contract said they would be Fed Ex'd to us after 2 weeks. I know 6 weeks isn't long to wait for wedding photos, but when it says 2 weeks in the contract, a bride gets her hopes up. I think Juan should change that in the contract so that people have more reasonable expectations. 

Overall 4/5: In the end, we LOVE our photos and have tons of great memories of the day to look at for years to come. That's all we could ask for. Juan is a wonderful photographer to capture all the wonderful moments of your day!! Thanks JUAN!
