Hi there - the future husband and I are also looking at booking in Mexico 2017/early 2018. We will be seeing a Travel Agent next week to get the ball rolling and narrow down resort choices but we like Mexico (I have heard it's the best price wise). I cannot recommend the Barcelo Deluxe resort in Riviera Maya enough - went there for a wedding and it was beautiful. Good luck with your planning
