  1. While not as safe an option as going with a TA or booking directly with the hotel, we actually decided to refer our guests to travel websites like Orbitz and Bookit.com. The promos do not apply our wedding week (Thanksgiving) and it ended up being much cheaper that way when bundled with flights.
  2. @@JRodz That is pretty much the same schedule we are going with as well. I had inquired about a cocktail hour for 6pm (our ceremony is at 5pm), but there was an additional charge of $400 for that. Figured that money would be better suited to go towards lighting, flowers, etc. Did your wedding coordinator ever share those gazebo photos with you?
  3. @JRodz In terms of decorations for the gazebo, I'm still trying to figure out what to do. Thinking some sort of white curtains on the pillars and flowers. I haven't seen any photos of ceremonies at the site for inspiration so I'm sort of flying blind at this point. Are you guys planning on having the cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony? I keep going back and forth on whether to do it one hour after just to allow time for photos.
  4. It depends which package you choose. The upper end ones include quite a bit. My fiance and I are doing the Lavish and Opulent package, but there are others. Link to them below. I think things start to add up if when you want to customize the look of your wedding or add additional decor or entertainment. http://www.playaresorts.com/Playa-Weddings/Packages Brides: I got the following list of cake flavors from our wedding coordinator, but was a little confused as to whether these are all actually wedding cake flavors. Some of these (ie cupcake, brownie, macarons) don't seem like it. Is the biscuit a cake flavor, for example? Rose roses and champagne cream cupcake tower Red velvet biscuit, strawberry with coconut cream covered Hazelnut and almond cake with strawberry and hazelnut chocolate cream Vanilla and caramelized pecan nuts with green apple cream Blue Berry biscuit with lemon and mascarpone cheese cream Raspberry, lemon, almond, Irish cream and champagne macarons tower Mocha and White chocolate brownie with bourbon whiskey cream Naked red mix berries and roses with vanilla cream Chocolate/strawberry biscuit with Frangelico liquor and hazelnut cream Vanilla and orange biscuit with Oreo cookies cream and truffles
  5. Thanks for the great photos! For those of you who are planning on doing the ceremony at the cliffside gazebo: What are you doing in terms of decorations? I asked Margarita for some photos, but I haven't seen anything in terms of actually ceremony set-up. Thinking some flowers and/or white curtains.
  6. It looks like my fiance are going to be getting married at the Hyatt Ziva thanksgiving week. For those of you who have been to the resort or seen photos of the sky gazebo, is there a lot of light there? I ask because the photo I've seen is sort of dark and I can't tell if it's because it was taken late in the day.
  7. Hi Ladies, My fiance and I are looking into potentially hosting our wedding at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun the weekend of November 19, 2016. I haven't been able to find a good email address to begin the initial conversation for the resort. Does anyone have an email address for a wedding coordinator that they wouldn't mind passing along? We are interested into this location largely because of the Gazebo and the fact that it will suit guests of all ages. Thanks, Amanda
