Thank you Acw & PerianJay I am actually in the West Midlands in England, so rougly 10 hours by plane to Playa Del Carmen! We have booked the holiday & wedding through Thomson, a very reputable company here in the UK, and have also recommended our guests to this company. I have looked through the reviews and can't find much on the Playa Del Carmen Riu's, but will keep checking. Does anyone else feel a bit helpless being so far away from the destination? I feel like I want to get the ball rolling but don't know where to start. Brogan

Hello All, I have just found this website as I have began planning my wedding in April 2016. We will be having it at the RIU Yucatan in Playacar and plan on bringing roughly 25 guests, including a few children. I have previously spent time at the Yucatan after staying at the RIU Tequila in 2013 and saw a wedding taking place in the gardens. It looked beautiful and just what I wanted so always kept it in mind! I am just introducing myself and wanting to know if anyone has any experience with weddings at the Yucatan. Any do's or dont's?
