  1. @@Brunette14 I'm just getting one of those for the reception tables but I bet they would be willing to change something. They might charge you extra though. I wanted to rent out just the table cloth and the runner for the cake table but that was like $60. What were you thinking of changing?

I want to do the sophisticated soiree package for the ceremony but change the chandelier to the clear one rather than black and change the chair covers to white rather than black and then just no isle runner and ill provide pink rose petals.

  2. If you look on the Karisma website there is a spot where you can do a search for a GI TA. Or you can just Google like I did. I just keyed GI travel agent Toronto and it brought up the list for me. Should do the same for you I would think. But Brunette 14 are you in the US? If so you do 't need to go any further than here to look for one. There is also one that some of the ladies in Canada seem to really like if that's where you are. Wright Travel are affiliated with this site and have several awards given by resorts and are absolutely GO Certified. There is a link on the site that you can use to contact them.

    Good luck and happy planning!

I am from London Ontario Canada so I'm hoping to find one here.

  3. @@Lissie88 I'm not sure about the whole overbooking thing. Although for your guests that booked with your wedding group I really doubt they would separate the group and send them somewhere else. It might happen for people who go on their own and during very high season.

For trips our group got quoted around $1500 for a deluxe room with taxes incl. or $1700 for a one bedroom suite. I'm from Canada, so these prices include airfare as things are a bit different here. We're traveling in August. I suggest you find out the prices before you book as this might be a deal breaker (at least it would have been for us). Also, if you're working with a Karisma GI certified TA she'll be able to reserve your date and get in contact with the hotel without you having to contact them directly. You also get extra perks by working with one of them :). The way it works is that the TA will block rooms for you at a rate and people will have a certain amount of time to book. She'll then take care of reserving the wedding date with the hotel.

When were you travelling/flying out of?!?

  4. "gourmet inclusive certified Travel Agent". which means that the travel agent is well versed in the karisma properties and is endorsed by the hotel because they trust they understand their product and can represent it in a way that Karisma demands.

A good way to get a budget idea is to go to the weddingsbylomas website which has all the pricing and use this to figure out your costs. Approximate your guests and plan accordingly

How do I find one of those?!?!

  5. If you are working with a GI certified TA, there are different perks. One of the incentives is for a free cocktail reception, all the way up to free limited private events based on the number of rooms/nights you book in your wedding group block. You should talk to your TA about this and ensure it is also open to you. Im not sure if you are eligible if not working with a GI certified TA though.

What is a GI certified TA?

  6. Yes, that's the Sky Deck. A fabulous extra $1700 lol That's where we are having our ceremony too! :)

The Sky Terrace is one level below the Sky Deck (I would do your cocktail hour there) that's is where we are having ours. The Sky Terrace is the outdoor patio area of the Zky Bar and overlooks everything also.

I initially wanted our reception at the Sky Deck too I just cant handle the idea of $15 extra per person to do that. So we went with a garden reception. Plus they said it can be windy. I have photos if you end up interested in seeing the garden reception area.

We are using Wright Travel Agency who specialize in destination weddings for group travels. Azul's will assign you a wedding coordinator. They are in a Miami office. You deal with that coordinator until you get down to Azul Fives. Then you deal with the onsite coordinators.

If you don't mind me asking how much is the whole wedding costing you?? I'm trying to figure out what to budget!
