  1. It will depend on your budget and so on. We are getting married January 2015 and will be using the Ill Caprico (Italian in the Bavaro section of the complex). It is in-door with AC and has a maximum of 40 people. The cost is $1000 US. I have also seen the Piscis location. It is a outside terrace, beautiful near a pool. It seat a max of $60 people and goes for $1500 I believe. I liked the idea, but the extra $500 just didn't make sense. I did briefly see the Garden Grill Location as well. It was indoors with AC and also held $40 people for $1000. We picked the Il Capricio for its menu selections. There is one more venue for sure that is outdoors but cost $3000. It's HUGE and is essentially a snack bar restaurant for Punta Cana during the day. It seat $120 people. AMAZING, right close to the beach but far too expensive for us. I cannot recall what they call it. You can get all this information if you contact the hotel's wedding coordinators. Visually I though Ill Capricio and Piscis were the most beautiful in our prices budget. Garden Grill was just okay.
  2. You do not require an adaptor for your devices. Dominican Republic runs the same outlets as North America. Enjoy your big day...
  3. Hey there, I am having my wedding at this complex January 2015! I have been to the complex for a day tour/visit with the wedding coordinators. Although all my guests and group are staying at the Esmeralda, the wedding itself takes place on the Punta Cana property. The property is very pretty. I have seen a few of the restaurants and will be utilizing the Ill Capriccio for a private reception. Overall, I read a lot of positives about this resort. Plus, the Esmeralda section is high-end which I wanted for my guests overall experience. The spaces seem great. I'm excited. I have met Paola at the wedding coordinator office. She is great. Also I have a recieved emails from a few of the others girls. They are VERY RELAXED which can be hard when you are stressing over the little things, but they keep telling me that we just need the 3 months for planning and a lot of things are decided once you arrive for your holiday. I'll fill ya in more as I go along. I will be in Punta Cana in 2 weeks and going to see the wedding coordinators to place a deposit down. Should be an adventure!
  4. Hey all, I'm new to the site and wil be getting married January 2015 on the Bahia Principe Punta Cana grounds. However, our guest and ourselves will be staying at the Esmeralda. I have gone to the complex in person briefly to see the grounds and have a tour. We have chosen the Ill Capprico restaurant for a private reception and will be getting married at the beach gazebo. I have a few questions though if anyone knows.... Has anyone had their hair and make-up done at the resorts spas. They have a few within the ground given they have like 4 hotels in the entire Bahia complex. I'm very nervous about my make-up as this is not a skill I have. Hair I can fix no matter how bad it turns out! haha! Also wondering how people enjoyed their photos, etc Were decorations provided? Any tips?? Any information would help! I will be going there in 2 weeks and plan to stop in to see the wedding coordinators so hopefully I will get some clearer ideas, but advice is always great! Thanks!
