  1. Ok that's great to hear, I'll have to see what kind of special meal they can make for her. Thank you so much @@LaurenR !
  2. Hi Everyone! I'm brand new to this forum but have read quite a ways back. I've gotten lots of great info already, so thank you everybody! My fiancé and I have booked our wedding for February 7, 2015 and will be staying Feb 4-18. Do I have any wedding buddies getting married around the same time?! I do have a question about the BBQ if anyone can help. I have a guest who is Celiac and I know that a lot of times, salad dressings and sauces can be off limits. Has anyone had the BBQ and perhaps had a Celiac guest or can remember the food? Were there a lot of options? Or were you able to order a special meal for them? Thank you, looking forward to being a part of the forum!
  3. Thank you so much Murmel! That is so helpful!! This resort definitely meets a lot of our guests needs, much more than the tons of other resorts we've been looking at. And while there are some negatives (as there always are) the positives definitely outweigh them. I'm excited to say that we've put out deposit down and are waiting to hear from the wedding coordinator if we got the date we want. YAY!
  4. Hi Everyone This is my first post Ever! Murmel, thank you SO much for all the info. You have saved me a lot of research time! My fiancé and I are planning on getting married the first week of February, 2015. I have to say it's been difficult narrowing down all the options. We still have not booked a resort and I'm getting super antsy! We are guessing about 60 guests coming down from all over Canada. There are a lot of different things to consider. 3 of my bridesmaids have kids under the age of 2, so I'm loving the Fischer Price family suites! I also have a friend in a wheelchair, who is also doing my makeup Yay! Plus two Celiac's and 3 Vegetarians. I've talked to one of the wedding coordinators in Miami but didn't get the clearest answers. So I'm wondering if anyone has some insight they'd like to share with me! 1. Is the resort easy for a guest in a wheelchair to get around? I noticed from pictures that there's a big staircase that looks like it goes from the lobby to the pool. Are there elevators nearby? 2. Are there lots of options other than salads for my Vegetarian and Celiac guests? 3. Has anyone been able to successfully negotiate the crazy $800 outside vendor fee? Any help would be amazing! Thanks
