  1. Everything it's customizable. I didn't request package info, because my FI and I had already a solid idea of what we wanted, so we sent them the concept with photos and they gave us the quote for everything with the costs for each item. Not sure exactly where Casa Chic is located at, but Ak'iin it's on the same block as Ana y Jose in the hotel zone. Good luck finding your venue!
  2. Hi Archigirl, First of all congrats on the engagement and on finding the perfect wedding location, I couldn't agree more with you. Tulum, is indeed SPECTACULAR! Hence I'm also getting married there haha! Casa Chic looks awesome! Do they offer all the wedding preparations on your big day or do you have to seek external vendors to create the wedding of your dreams? @@Torifire I'm also getting married in Tulum, except that we opted for a beach club named Ak'iin. We went for a site visit incl. a menu tasting, we were very satisfied with the menu, the location and the warm staff - so we chose them for our big day! As a Mexican national myself, I highly recommend them to all destination brides... I did plenty of research and this was the best deal for the quality of their services. I also wanted to make sure that our guests and family had multiple hotel options and not be stuck with a resort just because of the wedding taking place there. I wish you all a happy and fun wedding planning in Mexico! I look forward to keeping in touch with both of you from here on. All the best! M

Happy Wedding Planning! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will start with myself to break the ice a little bit. Name: Mayra From: Louisville, Kentucky Wedding date: April 19th, 2014 Location: Tulum, Ak'iin Beach Club Engaged since February 14th, 2013 at the Pont des Arts in Paris, France.
  4. Hi Hannah, Congrats! I am also a Tulum bride and guess what? Getting married at Ak'iin Beach Club this April!!! What can I tell you is that I couldn't have asked for anything better than this venue. We went to visit the premises back in September and we had an amazing experience. The food it's to die for! It is made by their executive chef at Alux restaurant in Playa del Carmen, and their staff is super fun - lovely ladies! It is a bit pricey, but all worth it imo. We're having cocktail and dinner, the only thing they don't cover is the liquor - so you gotta pay for a corking fee and find your booze from an external vendor. The location is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Here are some photos we took. Let me know if you have any specific questions, and I will do my best at answering them. By the way, I am Mexican and did loads of research in the area to get the best location for my wedding... At first we thought resort, until I started thinking about all other options and this one was the winner! All beach club for yourself, any external vendor you want for no extra charge. Private location, exclusively for you and your guests. No brainer!
