  1. Does anyone know which locations for ceremony and/or reception are handicap accessible? I have not been able to get this answer from anyone at the resort after sending emails a couple times over the last 3 weeks.....The handicap accessibility is our only concern
HI there, Congtatulations and I hope you have a wonderful day. I got married 5 weeks ago and it was beautiful. Please do not worry about anything the wc are amazing, they know what they are doing. In regards ro you question the only place I think you would have trouble is if your guest wa in a wheel chair and you were going on the beach. Everywhere else has a pathway as well as stair access. Hope all goes well and if you need anymore help please so ask. Natasha
  2. Im so jealous, you will have a wonderful time and an amazing day.

We also originally had Pilar but she got ill with her pregnancy so Isela took over. She is good and she knows what she is doing. She also reads the weather really well, on the morning of our wedding it was beautiful but as the day went on it was getting very stormy outside, Isela held off till the afternoon and then asked /advised that maybe we should bring the reception from outside inside. I initially was not very keen as i had all the table decorations for being outside but she said it was 99% that by the time the ceremony was over it was going to rain so I followed her advise ad she moved us into the bamboo room. Luckily you can leave the ceremony till about 30min before service to move it in so my fingers were crossed that the rain would hold off for at least the service.

The rain did stay away luckily for us but it was so humid and sticky that being moved into the air conditioned room was the best choice made and im glad she advised us to do so. The table that Isela set up for our reception was beautiful, it was just how i envisaged it being.

What package are you going ??

  3. Im not sure what to make of the reviews on Trip Advisor regarding the not so nice "Vibe" from the staff at the Now Jade.  I know I should not take much notice but my guests and I are paying alot of money to holiday/get married here the last thing we want is battles with the staff. Surely they can't be as bad as the reviews make out but I dont understand why people would make such negative remarks without reason.  Maybe these people have nothing better to do than moan and critisise the smallest of things. :-( I would be very interested to hear from any brides that have got married there recently because the reviews say that this Vibes was never the case a couple of years ago and that it is only within the last year or so?? on the plus side there are LOTS of positive reviews but these odd few do niggle away at me!!!  Actually the thing that scares me most is coming face to face with this time share people from the trip advisor comments they sound like BIG scary, aggresive monsters.......I think i will need to toughen up in the next week because I dont like saying NO to people, on the other hand my Fiance will have no problems at all in saying NO! 1 week Saturday and we will be there :-) Any comments, words of wisdom, advice, reassurance would be gratefully received lol xxxxxx
Hi there, I got married on the 7th October 2013 so I have been home a few days now and I wish I was back there already. I'm not sure where people are getting there opinions from , maybe they have been unlucky but I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed to be a problem for them. My niece is 16mkntjd old and all the staff were very good with her, always interacting and whst was lovely is that in the evening we would go into the cafe and they would fill her bottle up with milk, no questions asked. We were never approached for time share, D far as I'm aware now jade is not a time share resort. The one they are currently building next g to it will be but not the jade. As for the wedding , it was perfect. We had isela and I as alot of brides was. Little worried about communication before hand but I can assure you when you get there it will be perfect!! Isela meet with us the day after we arrived, we went through favours, table plan, music ect.... Then she does the rest. I could not fault out wedding, the food was great, the tables were exactly how I wanted, the flowers were perfect and isela knows what she is doing so do not worry!! Hope this helps
  4. Hi there, I bought a pony tail extension with me as I thought my hair was too short, it turned out we couldn't use it as it was treated to stay straight but the salon knew how to use it, explained why we were unable to use it and in the end managed to do my hair how I wanted without using Antthing. The ladies in the salon are very good at what the do and as long as your extensions are real untreated hair they will be able to use them. Hope this helps Tash
  5. Are there any past brides out there that took hair extensions with them.........if so was the Spa ok with using them? i have some clip in ones which I just want for volume really? Or are there any brides that are still yet to wed that are taking them? xx

  6. Ooooh I am stuck as to what cake to choose so thanks for this i will have a look, Can anyone advise on the devine menu they chose for dinner and what it was like? xxx
Hi there, We had scallops and shrimp to start, cheese ravioli, beef fillet and shrimp followed by nougat moose and it was delicious! You can mix and match from all the menus if you have the Devine. The food at the hotel is all very good so if you like the sound of it it is going to be nice. Tash
  7. Does anyone know if travels checks are accepted and a way to avoid some of the service charges or transaction fees?  Could you pay the bulk with travelers checks and the last little amount with a credit card?
Good evening, I asked today in the wedding office as we were settling everything if you could pay by travellers cheques and I was told yes. May be worth emailing the hotel to confirm as this is where you settle the final bill.

Hi there , I'm getting married today and the planners are on the balk so do not worry! The set up for the chairs is included for the ceremony but to move them to the reception is another 40 dollors. Also what we have just found out is that I you pay by credit card you have a handling fee plus a lower exchange rate than if you pay in cash so we just got stung for an extra £200 because no one told us this before hand. Try to pay as much in cash as possible. The food is the only difference. All are 4 courses but you can mix and match your menu. Hope this helps x
  9. Good Morning,

I went through the same thing with emails except I did not get a response email advising a reply in 72 hours.

Im flying out on tuesday and will be getting married on the 7th and responses have been very few and far between but i have just been told that Pilar is pregnant and there is another lady dealing with weddings along with Deisy so I think they are a little behind with emails. Plus our new planner is on leave till tuesday. She is very good and seems on the ball so Im not terribly worried about it but they have been trying to cover Pilar so this is why emails have been very slow.

From what i have heard this is perfectly normal.

  10. Hi Jules,

I heard that s how long it takes too.

How was your wedding day, was it how you imagined and asked for?

    Do you have any tips?

Where did you get married and have the reception?

Did you have just the photog that was included in the package and if so how was it, how long were they with you and would you recommend getting additional photog?/

Sorry about all the questions but im getting a little nervous as flying out in under 2 weeks.

    Congratulations on your wedding

    Tash

  11. Hi All, Im getting married at bow Jade this October and getting a little nervous. Can anyone advise on how long you have the photog for with the Devine package, are they any good and would you suggest getting another photog on top of the one included. Really appreciate some help Tash
Hi Tash, I'm getting married October 11th! We hired an outside photographer for 6 hours and are using the photog from the Divine package for our catamaran cruise rehearsal dinner. I visited Now Jade in May and they showed us some photos from the resort photographer and they looked decent!
  12. Hi , I am getting married on the 7th October '13 and getting a little nervous as had no correspondence with Pilar for a long time.

Does anyone know if by only having the photographer and videographer that is included in the Devine package is enough?

Does anyone know how long they stay with you and are the pictures and video any good?

    Thank you Tash
