We're down there at the same time as you guys are, so I noticed the weather as well. I was hoping it meant light sprinkles everyday. We're flying out of Van on Nov 17th as well. What airline? Ours is Air Transat. You still have time to pack, it'll get done. You are such a relief to let us know about the weather and earlier in the thread about customs, etc. Thanks so much for the reassurance. It's greatly appreciated!

Not even one week now! (til we leave anyway, a little over a week until the day of the wedding). I am doing a lot better this week.  We got a lot of little things wrapped up, and packing is 95% finished.  Huge relief to have that done.  I just can't wait to be on that plane down to Mexico with my soon-to-be husband!  (Hope the weather forecast improves for the Mayan Riviera - right now lots of rain for the week we are there! )

I am wondering this myself.  Ideally, I'd like to give our guests their OOT bags when we check in at airport...but I'm sure they will have their own carry ons and i'd be adding to their stuff...and besides, i got nail clippers and bottles of aloe vera and lotion in the oot bags and i'm pretty sure it's not allowed on as a carry on.  So i think i will just have to put them all in one luggage and assemble everything at the hotel...hopefully the luggage handlers are nice and wont BREAK MY STUFF!! lol I hope that everything fits.   Good luck to you...you do have quite the list! But i'm sure you will get it all done in time

My guys are wearing off white linen pants ( I don't want them to white or my dress will look dull ), my groom will have a black dress shirt and the groomsmen will have a dark silver dress shirt. I think we will just have them wear sandals :-)

We booked our wedding through Marlin travel and we have had nothing but issues, we will never book another holiday through them. Our travel agent seems to be out of the office more than in, she encouraged us to book our wedding in November because she said it would be slower and we would have more choices for the date of the wedding.... When she finally got the date we found out that we will arrive on the Sunday but not get married until the Friday :-/ unknown to her there are 2 holidays the week we are going, something a travel agent should know. She then emailed me 2 weeks ago to tell me that we could not get the wedding package we wanted because Transat is no longer doing wedding packages with the resort but they would honor the most expensive package for us. I got a little upset and then she emailed back and said to to worry about it she has a few avenues she can go up to make it work for us??? Not really sure why a travel agent would stress out a bride 2 months before her wedding is she new she could make it happen :-/

Bettyuff- Where are you flying from? We took a package from Transat and then did some upgrades so we can have a semi-private reception on the beach. With our Transat package we wouldn't have had a head table or a place to have our first dance. We arrive on the 17th and leave on the 24th :-)

Idmoss- that's great. Our WC is Carolina, she has been pretty good so far :-)

Oilersbride- that will be nice that you will have an extra week for just you and your hubby. We had thought about staying an extra week but decided we will go somewhere in the spring. We are legally getting married on 11/12/13 as well lol I thought it would be an easy date for hubby to remember lol. Shera Richer- Congrats to you as well :-) we are getting married in November not April :-) our travel agent had recommended November and told us we would have more options for ceremony dates ect, it turns out our travel agent didn't realize there are 2 Mexican holidays the week we are there so we didn't really have a choice on the date. We are flying out of Vancouver, with some guests flying from Edmonton. We went with a package thru Transat and then did another $2000 in upgrades with the resort. Did you just book with the resort? Idmoss- Did you get your wedding package thru westjet or just your flights and hotel? Also. How have you found dealing with the wedding coordinator down there?

I am getting married on the 22nd. Did you have any trouble selecting your date with the resort? We had wanted to get married the 19th or 20th and had booked our package with our travel agent in February, but when we asked what date we could get married they said the earliest was the 22nd.

We booked with Transat thru our travel agent for our November 2013 wedding. We got a pretty good deal. If your going to use a travel agent make sure they have been specializing in weddings for awhile so they know all the do's and dont's

Wow, our resort asked that we have all the details/decisions regarding our wedding made by 3 months in advance - they're actually waiting on me! That's too bad that you're having troubles with your coordinator, that adds to the stress! We are getting married Nov 22/13 at the Same resort as you. Fernanda has been in contact with me since June, he even skyped me the other say lol. What package are you going with?
