I totally agree, I think that is the beauty of destination weddings you know that the people that DID come, really want to share the day with you and the hubby. Most of our 25 guests will be family which is cool, they are going to complain because my cousin just had her DW in Punta Cana and they all said it was too much $$ blah blah but hey they went LOL. This is our 3rd attempt to plan a wedding and I got so much SH** the last couple times that no one even knows we are planning, they will know when they get the STD in the mail, I dont want to hear anyone's negativity.

Hey ladies, I finally made up my mind on the venue Blue Venado waiting to hear if it will be available for our date and then we will take it from there... I was going back and forth on this because  I could not find enough pics on it but I finally found the perfect thread on it and I am convinced!!!! Now on to finding a not too big All inclusive resort for our guests... something where we will not get lost, LOL and its family friendly ( and of course not too expensive) any suggestions???

Does anyone know of a boutique feel all inclusive hotel?? I originally wanted a small boutique hotel, but I don't want all our guests to have to pay for food and drinks, however, I don't want the huge resort feel either.. Any suggestions?? I will not have the wedding there, I will still hold the wedding At a beach club or something (which I can't decide on either)

Oh cool sounds like we have very similar wedding in the plans here. I like the idea of it being so small that everyone will really get to feel like they are part of the wedding... We are each only having 1 friend... and the friend we each chose is prefect because their other halves are our good friends too .. so really we get 4 of our very best friends. I agree!!! I am so glad the hotel we chose includes these in the room. I just need to get a note, and maybe 1 or 2 more things to include to make it a little more personalized. I would not know where to start with these!! you ladies are doing a great job!!

The  extra things I am going to get are personalized coozies and mugs!

Hello Happy Wife, I'm getting married on June 6, 2014 at Azul Sensatori Resort in Riviera Maya Mexico.  It is very family friendly with about 440 rooms.  You can probably work out a contract that will be less than $1000 per person for 5 days.  You should also look at Azul Beach and the Playacar Palace.  I visited both before deciding on Azul Sensatori.  They were very nice but I felt AS was better for my family.  Have fun with your planning.  I certainly am!!

I wanted to know what you were doing in terms of DJ, my family and I are big partiers and dancers this is very important to me. I would like a DJ, that knows what's in and plays great dance music, as well as bachata merengue etc. I have been in contact with DORREMIX, I am waiting to hear back but also wanted to see other options.

AWW congrats, same here although it will only be 5 years we signed papers and went home to sleep.. LOL I have attempted to plan 3 weddings and have failed in all of them. Mostly because I was listening to other people's opinion and jsut got so mad that I would cancel last minute ( very stressful). This time around our daughters looked at me and said " mom we want to see you in a beautiful wedding dress, and have a real wedding". I am attempting it again, happier than ever. more in love then I was 7 years ago, and with positive thinking. I figure people go on vacation all the time, just because, how hard can it be to go because a family member or friend is having a wedding??? If you can't make it sorry to hear that, we will still go on with our plans. Stay positive ladies, and dont let anyone rain on your parade, try to keep your plans to yourselves so that other people dont make you feel bad.!!!
