Hi all BTB,    Summer is also can be a wedding festival?My parents and i  have  been invited to a wedding in July 30th. I wanna to wear cute and cold dress to attend, but I'm having a hard time finding something I like, that I feel would be appropriate. short dress will be too short for me .but I don't really want a long on either! can u help me to pick it out?

But I just wonder is it really important whether the style of wedding dress are trendy in this year?  I think what matters is the dress style should fit you.And sometimes I think one reasonably wedding dress will be better than one design or expensive wedding dress.  what is your opinion about this?

I never saw myself in a black dress-- probably cause we were getting married at daytime on the beach and black seems so formal. But I definitely think a black gown can be a nice choice in the right setting. Vera Wang even has a whole line of black gowns. She's the queen of weddings and if she says it goes, I have to agree! It can look elegant and vintage in some cases! Just for fun I pulled a few of my favorite looks in black.

It really is your decision though, isnt it? Why would you have to convince them? Sorry, dont mean to offend here, but is sounds really old fashioned and patriarchal.

If YOU are happy with it, maybe you can come to a compromise? Maybe you could work part time instead of full time? 

Some people are happy staying at home the whole time, being "trophy wifes" or ladies who lunch which Im sure can be very fulfilling for some people. Others like the routine of having a job and the all important economic independence.
