Thanks for all the info! whiteuny can you send me or post the extra info package your wedding coordinator dug up for you and the list of prices? I dont know about you guys but I cant seem to figure out the perferct hair style for a beach wedding. Are you guys having the salon do both hair and makeup? Do they do a trial run first? I think we are going to do the private reception too. How did you hear about the outside BBQ, that sounds really fun! Right now we have a tenative booking at the Italian Restaurant for the reception. Being the wedding is in Aug we are nervous its going to be really hot outside so opted for an indoor air-conditioned place. Apparantly WC said dancing, MC and DJ plus our dinner tables can all fit. fingers crossed lol. Has anyone visited the resort before? We have never been, anything we should look out for or things we must do?

Hi Ladies - yes the WC seems to take at least a week to get back to me but she seems to be getting a little faster. I too was asking about hair and makeup and she gave me the salon email address (below). I have not written them yet but they may be able to answer your question more than the WC. I was asking if hair and makeup are done in the brides suite or does everyone travel to the salon to get everything done. She stated everyone travels to the salon but you can pay extra to have them come to the room to do everyone. Probably expensive lol. Anyways, hope this helps. What ideas do you guys have about welcome bags or wedding party gifts? So far for welcome bags we thought of tumblers, sunscreen and tylenol or something... Im curious if anyone is having their wedding or have had their wedding at the Riu Palace Bavaro!? We are getting married this Aug, 3rd and havent heard much about it on this website! Looking for any advice on things to think about for destination weddings, gifts for wedding party, how did hair and makeup go? etc!? Thanks! Danielle
