  1. How Strange...I booked directly with their wedding department/office.  Are you doing a group booking with them?  I am doing a room block directly with them....maybe that is the difference?

They said other brides might be receiving this service through their travel agent. Do you have a travel agent?

  2. You should check your contract...They offered my guests free transporation services to and from the airport and hotel....Also, I believe the Resort Credits can be used towards the Limo Services!  Might want to look into that!

It was $193.00 total for the limo. But they have other options that are less.

Or, should we just take a cab and save our money? Are the cabs safe? lol

  3. BTW I LOVE your pictures!  Your photographer captured some amazing shots!

  4. Really?!  Hmmm I have an appointment for a second dress this week.  I think I'm going to try a few on and see how I feel about purchasing it for the TTD session....I can see myself changing my mind last minute and using my real dress instead also...I can be so indecisive at times! I'll have to really think about this!  My dress is also organza so I'm happy to hear the fabric wasn't ruined!  I'm just concerned about the beading but I'm sure that can be "fixed."  Thank you for the input!

  5. Thanks for the info!  I am most definitely doing it!!!

There is no greater chance of it getting wrecked during the TTD than during the wedding day itself.

  6. Hello Brides!

I am considering a "trash the dress" session with our photographer? I love the idea of taking pictures in that beautiful turquoise ocean but DO NOT WANT TO RUIN my gown! I am starting to consider a second dress (nothing too expensive) that I would change into after the ceremony, dinner and toast is done...I was thinking I can wear the second gown (of course a lighter fabric) when we are ready to party and dance the night away and then wear it the next day to do the "trash the dress" session...any thoughts on a second gown? I love my wedding gown so much that I just don't think I can "trash" it!

    Thoughts/suggestions???

  7. Hello Brides!

    1)     What is everyone walking down aisle to? Iâ€m torn between something classic or a song that has meaning.

    2)     For the past BP brides (or anyone thatâ€s stayed at BP), are their dinner menus online somewhere for the restaurants at BP? Just curious what they have.

Good Questions!  I was torn between the classic wedding march song or a love song...I decided to let my fiance be in charge of that department...That could be a really cute and sweet idea or it can be all bad since he is a big HIP HOP head, LOL!  I think we are gearing towards a romantic, meaningful love song...

The weather was perfect in November (we are going back the same week for our anniversary!)

It was high 70s low 80s during the day and then in the high 60s low 70s at night- bring a sweater cause when it's windy it can get chilly at night close to the beach!

The ocean was cold- but you can still manage to get almost waist deep and be fine!

My wedding was at 4pm as well.  The sun will set around 5:15 (I think- there is a website you can check for sunset time- just goggle sunset time in november).

    My schedule was:

First look photos (which I recommend for the limited time you have after the ceremony before the sun sets) at 2:15

2:30- 3:45 group photos (wedding party and bride and groom)

4- 5 ceremony, toast, family pics and more wedding pics- sunset pics

5-6 cocktail hour (more pics of my husband and I- we turned the wedding party loose around 5 when the cocktail hour started and we joined everyone around 5:30 and it was almost dark by 5:30)

    6-10 reception

Let me know if you have any more questions about November in Mexico! :)

Do we just go buy a day pass or is this something that they would comp for us since our wedding is booked for may 2014.  I sent an email to Palace weddings but no response back.

Rocio sent me a Wedding Guide Packet that promotes a 3 night site visit:

    Hi Heyily,

Most of our brides, have carried their gowns with them, just to make sure, check with your airline like Carlota says.

Once in customs when in Mexico, they are very friendly with all the Brides and their families so you will not have to worry about it.

    Good Luck!

Thank you for the response and info!  I will call the airlines for more information!

And if we get the 75 nights do we get the unlimited functions and 7 nights on the concierge level?

    Hello Bella Rios!

    Congratulations!

My wedding is November 2013 and I also had to pay for 7 nights in order to block rooms for our guests.  I am booking directly through the wedding department/resort....

  15. Hello,

My wedding ceremony is on a Saturday and at first I didn't have to put any deposit down for the complimentary package and was able to reserve my date.  I did however receive my contract and had to pay for our hotel stay as a deposit to block/reserve a group discount rate for our guests. My current wedding coordinator is Rocio Lizbeth Rioja.  She has been very responsive and answers all of my questions in a timely manner.

    Sincerely,

    Illy
