Congratulations! Happy to hear that things went so smoothly @@Kingz85 ! Did you like DJ all music? Initially, I decided we would just use our own ipod for music, but I want the day to be as stress free as possible and don't want to worry about who is working the IPOD or things going wrong with the music etc. So.... I'm trying to convince my FI to go with the DJ onsite. Has anyone else used him or planning to?
I used DJ All Music and he was great, the entire night was perfect. He played all the songs we wanted. Its really fun with the balloons and glow sticks, that really started the party! I say YES to him. Good luck in convincing your FI.

You wedding sounds perfect!!! What DJ did you use? We have around the same number of guest and I keep going back and fourth on the DJ.. Also did you purchase your own sheers of the ceremony set up? What dimensions did you go off of?
@@Kingz85 loved your post! Makes me excited!!! Not sure if quoting what you mentioned above notifies you! What DJ did you go with? Where did you purchase your sheers and what dimensions did use use?
Thank you!
I found the link for you for the sheer dimensions and everything else you need.

Thanks! I used DJ AllMusic. I did buy my own sheers, I used the dimensions provided in one of these forums. If you look through you will find it.
I liked the DJ option only because I don't have to worry about changing songs on a iPod dock.
You are going to love it. I've read horror reviews on here and I was so worried and stressed, but honestly it was the most stress free thing I ever did.
Have fun! And feel free to ask me anything.
Which Caribe photographer did you have?
@Kingz85
I'm wondering the same question as lolita2014 because I have heard a lot of negatives about Caribe photography. Did they touch up your photos and edit them?
Is there anyone else going to the BDR in July for Karisma?
I feel really bad but I don't know his name. I was nervous for using them too but he did a great job. ( I will try to find out what his name is) Very patient, I even printed some key pictures i wanted and he did every one of them for me.
The pictures are not retouched or edited. I got the 4 hour package from 430-830.

I've heard rumors that the structure on the sky deck is no longer the dark wood... and now white. Can anyone confirm? I hope this isn't true because I really love the look of it.
It is white and from far away it looked good.

Congrats!!! Sounds like things went awesome! What ceremony site did you choose?

I picked the beach area by the peer. It is very secluded.
Here are our pictures from April 9, 2014.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share my wedding experience at the Azul Sensatori on April 9, 2014.
The entire wedding planning process for me was good. Yes there were stressful times with family issues. But that comes with any wedding. The wedding co-ordinator I got was Erika from Florida and she was amazing.
We arrived April 7, 2014 with a total group of 20 ppl. We had a entire charter bus to ourselves. When we arrived at the resort the Sunwing rep met us and took care of everyones check in individually and everyone was satisfied with the entire process.
We (bride and groom) were upgraded to the premium section at no cost. Which was amaxzing. We had the most beautiful views.
The day before the wedding we met with the co-ordinators (cant remember their names) They went through the entire detail sheet and i gave them all my decorations and told them where I would like everything and how I would like it set up. I didnt want to use my cell phone to play my ceremony music so they downloaded the songs and played them through the DJ. Amazing.
The set up cost was $250 american.
The day of the wedding we chilled by the pool until about 11, then I got my hair done which they did a great job, everyone loved my hair. I got ready in my room and my husband got ready in his room, which was amazing in his eyes.
The co-ordinator came to my room at 4:30pm and walked me to the beach area for our wedding. When I saw the set up my jaw dropped..it was stunning.
The photographer from Caribe Photography was just amazing, i had 4 hours with him and he took the most amazing pictures. It took 48 hours to get all our photos in albums and many other photos printed. Very satisfied.
The reception took place at the Zavas Plaza and it was amazing. Everything was set up perfectly. The food was fantastic and the DJ was great and the bartender was really good making any drink requested! Our party was so good that other guests asked if they could join in! It lasted from 7-11pm.
So all in all this resort did a beyond great job in my eyes. There is not one thing that happened that was wrong. Maybe we got lucky, since we were the only wedding April 9.
So I wouldnt worry ladies trust me this resort knows what its doing !!!!

Well this is some disturbing news…. I'm definitely not going to pay $1000 to set up...
Out of all the brides who have been married at the Azul how many of you actually paid over $250 to do the set up?

Hi everyone
Just a question about the iPod play list for the ceremony.
Can it be on your iPhone if you don't have a iPod?
Should the song be a full song or should it be shortened ?
Our wedding is April 7, 2014 I'm also wondering what time the sun will set out time for the ceremony is 430pm would that be enough time for pictures after?
Thanks !
Oh and also does caribe photography do a good job? I picked them because I didn't want to pay the vendor fee. Has anyone who used them had a good experience? Anyone In particular to ask for?
-
Has anyone had the surf and turf as the main course? and was it good?
-
Hello, Just want to find out if anyone recently had the Surf and Turf dinner option and what did they think?
A few months back a girl said it was amazing but then I just read it was terrible.
I also wanted two tables of 10 since our group is small. Do you think that will be really tight?
Thanks

Hi Im getting married April 9, 2014!
Im bringing my own fabric sheers because paying $150 per sheet is insane.
We only have 22 ppl going so im picking the "pre made tables" I just dont want the hassle of carrying everything on the plane.
I also found this website that you can order in bulk and you get free shipping if you dont mind waiting for your order a month or so. http://www.aliexpress.com
Im going to get the paper lanterns and LED lights and maybe the "welcome/thank you" gifts.
Let me know if you need any help we can brainstorm together!

I just got back from the Bridal Dress Rehearsal on Sunday and I must say, it was fantastic! Not only do you get a first-hand look at the resort and all the different venues for your ceremony and reception, but you also go to a seminar where the WCs discuss all your options with you (the different Karisma resorts, the wedding packages and promotions). You also get to taste the food, the cake and see the types of décor and spa services available to you through Lomas (which are a tad overpriced and you're probably better off bringing your own décor - but it's still nice to see for inspiration)
I definitely feel a lot better now that I've seen everything in real-life. I like to be prepared so that I know what I can expect before I get there in November with all my guests - but that's just me
Also, there's been a lot of talk on here about outside DJs no longer being allowed on the resort, however the WC at Azul (Denise) told me that we can have an outside DJ along with an outside Photographer so long as we pay the $800 vendor fee for each! So maybe some WCs are being misinformed?? It's been a little frustrating hearing all the conflicting rules, but I figure if the WC at the Azul Sensatori is telling me this, it must be true! Still, I have yet to get it in writing.
BTW - I took a lot of pics of EVERYTHING and asked a ton of questions so let me know if you ladies would like any info from me!
Im very interested in your pictures, is there any way you would be able to email me ? [email protected]
Thanks!

Your wedding Video was just amazing.
Did you get the DJ from the LomasTravel site?
Did you bring the glow sticks and the paper lanters or did you buy them in Mexico?
Thanks your feedback would be great!

Thanks so much for the picture! it looks amazing.

Hi ladies
Im getting married April 9, 2014 and I want to get a head start on planning things.
Wondering if any of you picked the lobster and steak dinner for your guests?
What dinner menus are the best?
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Just seeing if I could get some information on how much a wedding costs at the Azul Sensatori, Mayan Riviera. We are getting married April 2014 and just want some sort of ball park number. I'be been reading many reviews and not many of them have prices.
Also does anyone have any tips on what to pay extra for and what not to pay extra for?
Thanks!!!!

I used Caribe and they were great. No complaints, we received the photographs in two days and they did an amazing job.
