I keep reading info about photographers and I think I asked this already, but if our photographer is a paid guest for the duration of the trip, the resort will allow this right?

Trisha...I know you are a very talented photographer from the resort tours you posted. Those pics are absolutely gorgeous. If we weren't flying in our friend who is a photographer, I'd be contacting you! That being said, do you have any suggestions of places within a half hour bus ride of the resorts where we could do "engagement" shots a few days before the wedding? We want to avoid a beach scene since the wedding pics will be that. Was hoping to have a Mexican feel in the pics...somewhere with little shops or a village-type atmosphere?

I'm in the same boat. We are doing symbolic and we are not religious so we wanted to avoid anything like that. Do they do a rehearsal for the symbolic?

Hey ladies! I found my dress today! Woohoo! Do any of you have any pics of bouquets that the resort has put together? I got the actual resort catalogue and it's so old school and the bouquets look terrrible. I'm wondering if any recent brides have pics? Has anyone else sent a pic of a bouquet you liked and had the resort do that instead? Also looking for pics of the flowers the guys wear. The ones in the resort catalogue look hideous...they need to update the photos so they aren't from 1990!

This may be a weird question but for former guests at the bahia, do you know if they allow people to use their own travel mugs for drinks? My fiance's parents always take these when they go to all inclusives because it keeps the drinks colder and you don't have to go back as often. We were thinking of getting a set personalized as our wedding favours and giving them to guests before we go. I just wanted to make sure they are allowed before we spend that money...

One more question (more to come I'm sure!): do we meet with jazmin before the wedding to choose flowers for our bridal party, mothers, etc? And do they take care of centrepieces or do they ask us for our input? We booked a destination bc I didn't want to have to worry about doing that stuff on my own, so hopefully she will take care of it all?

Good to know! Have you read anything on here about the stylists at the actual resort spa? Wondering if they would be any good? I was planning to have a trial done here and then take a picture down with me, but I wanted to have my extensions put in, so I def need a stylist who has experience with that?

How much does the resort charge for outside vendors such as the trio? Do we pay that or is it part of the styling trio pricing?

I've read about a few stylists on other forums but would like to hear recommendations on here? Seems like "the styling trio" has a good rep? I just don't want to look like a clown on my wedding day.

Does anyone have any information about the restaurant choices at akumal or tulum and what the menus are? Also I heard that if you book the basic bar but give the bar tender a big tip they will serve you the premium stuff. Can anyone confirm this? Our group will want hard liquor, not just beer and piña coladas. Thanks!
