RE. OUTDOOR RECEPTIONS: has anyone had their private reception in an outdoor setting besides the two terraces? We are booking the paradise package ( have been booked for months) and were just told that there are two other weddings using the terraces so we have to have our reception in the banquet hall ( indoors) or a non private reception. We are pretty upset about this and feel we should have been told in advance when we booked. Anyway, we can't use the beach at night because its turtle season. We are looking for other areas of the resort to have an as private as possible outdoor reception dinner. Suggestions?

Hi Ashley, the lanterns are white with a slight beige line going around, you could always get colored lights, if you wished for them to be a different color. If you go on ikea and look up white paper lanterns there is only on model of round white ones.

I was also thinking of using paper lanterns and my wedding is May 9th. it would be wonderful if you could leave them behind.What colors are your lanterns?

Just thought i would mention that we are getting married April 16/13, we purchased 20 paper lantern and are going to hock a baterie operated light in it. We are thinking of leaving them behind at the resort but if anyone is thinking of using some we could arrange it with Ana you might just need new lights or batteries to put in. We are waiting on the arrival of the lights so thats why im not sure how long they last with batterie. Just leave me your email and i will be in contact, im also waiting on the price to rent the pole to hock them on i imagine it cant be that much.

Hi Ladies, This has been so helpful in so many ways. We are getting married in April this year, we went last year to have a look at the resort and meet with Ana, everything was really great. Ana was so good with replying till about September and now its impossible to get a reply. Im very relief with the replies here knowing she is there for you when you get there i guess bottom line thats what counts.

thanks for that great email, i have been stressing out from the lack of communication from Ana, my wedding is at OCT in April 2013.  I had questions hopefully you can help me a little, we are not hiring a dj, instead we want to bring a laptop, we have read in prior posts that people have brought ipods and that they worked out great, but we were wondering if a laptop would work just as well.  Also, we want our reception to be as close to the beach as possible but we are not sure where the dance floor would be, my fiancé really has his heart set on this and Ana is not answering me. Have you ever heard of this being an option at this resort.
