Congrats MJ! I do have the confirmation of both my ceremony and reception. I chose the locations when I sent in the wedding request forms.

Congrats on getting your rooms! We nights have some guests stay on the Secrets side because they want the adults only. So far, my fiancé and I are the only ones staying two weeks. We also got Silvia as a wedding coordinator. Hopefully communication is easy! I think they're pretty busy. Let me know how it goes.

We got our confirmation back! However they gave us 5 pm and I was wanting 4pm. I may email and request a change. The confirmation did not include locations tho. We will see. Hope you get more rooms!! Are you staying for a week or more? Also, do you have any guests staying at Secrets?

@amanda15012014 We have Jan 28 booked, well we are still waiting on the confirmation from the resort. On those request forms I did include location for ceremony and reception. Did you book yours yet?

JaxBchKay, there were a few things that made me personally choose the Now. First of all, I really liked the wedding packages that the NOW/Dreams/Secrets offers. My fiance and I had originally wanted an adults only resort but because of the price point we decided to go with a family resort. I really liked the NOW Larimar because it is literally right next to the Secrets (adults only) so our guests can have the choice of which side to stay at according to their preferences/budgets. We will be staying a week at each. I have never been to the DR, but I have heard that Punta Cana is a nicer area than La Romana. However it is the DR so i'm sure any place is awesome! I looked at so many resorts but just kept coming back the the AMResorts because of the wedding packages. I've heard a lot of good things about the Secrets resorts and my travel agent has sent couples to the NOW Larimar in the past and actually toured it herself which helped me feel better about our decision. I'm sure whatever resort you pick will be fantastic. Good luck!

Hi Erika, I am hoping to book at the Now for Jan 2014! Just waiting on our travel agent to confirm a few things then hopefully confirm a wedding date with the Now. Did you book your date through the Now website or with your travel agent? From what I've read on other threads, the outside vendor fee for a photographer is $500. Which has just been recently increased as they are trying to promote their own resort photographer. I was really looking forward to booking an outside photographer, but now will have to factor the increased price into the budget I am pretty sure that the free wedding does not include a reception. If you look at http://www.nowresorts.com/larimar/weddings.html, it shows you only get a wedding toast/cake for 10 people with the free package. If you look at the wedding guide there are prices for each level of cocktail hour/reception. .
