Hello Barcelo Brides!!! I just got back from a site inspection at the Barcelo Palace Deluxe and was completely blown away at how beautiful the resort is. We set our date for February 14, 2015!!! Super excited!! I know it's early but I have lots of questions for past brides. My ceremony is going to be in the Catholic chapel. I love that it's covered so everyone isn't baking in the sun and that I can do a religious ceremony with a real church feel. We chose the rooftop cocktail hour and I forgot the name of where we are having the reception but it's a big restaurant that's all open. I am inviting 200 guests and expecting maybe 100 to make it. My MAIN question is this.... Do I need to go with the largest package (tangerine) or do they allow you to just pay for the reception and other things separately? I don't feel that all of the items that come in the tangerine package are necessary for me. So I was wondering if anyone has ever booked their stuff separately and opted not to pick a package. Also, are there great kickbacks to having a large group for a wedding? If I guarantee them 50 rooms am I entitled to a free reception. Any feedback and experiences are most appreciate!! Hi All - I was recently proposed to on Christmas morning! Best day ever. Still can't stop staring at my ring. I always knew I wanted a destination wedding and now I can finally start planning. We are leaning towards St. Lucia. I have done my research on resorts and found that the most beautiful resort (and priceyest) is Jade Mountain. We plan on inviting a large amount of family members and need the prices to be reasonable. Any help on St. Lucia resorts would be greatly appreciated. Also, any info on group rates are also welcome. We plan on taking a mini vacation to visit St. Lucia and get a feel of the island. This day will come only once and I really want my wedding to be spectacular!

Most likely looking at May 16, 2014 in St. Lucia... We may be planning a mini vacation to St. Lucia to check it out in persona and really get a feel of the resorts. Any information about St. Lucia resorts would be helpful!! After searching online it seems that the most beautiful resort (and most expensive) is Jade Mountain. There is no way we can afford that place so something with a view of the peaks would be GREAT. We plan on bringing a nice amount of people to attend the wedding and was wondering about Group Rates..
