  1. We've seen the bridal gowns, we've seen the bridesmaids dresses, I would LOVE to see some TTD dresses! Please post pictures to inspire us. :smile159:
400 We hada cruise wedding on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the seas. We did the ttd shoot the day before our wedding in jamaica, at Labadee. We used the onboard photography company, Image for all pictures and are thrilled with the results.
  2. Ladies If you are still trying to decide what venue to use.... Without a doubt, contact O'Neisha Brown at Rose Hall Development. We had our ceremony at the Gazebo in Cinnamon Hill Golf Course and it was AMAZING. She had everything perfectly coordinated. My bouquet was gorgeous, the canopy even more beautiful than the inspiration images I sent. They set up everything beautifully. Guests were greeted with coconut water on ice, and afterwards we had a toast with witches brew, a citrusy rum sparkling punch that was delicious. Planning through Rose Hall was completely stress free, all I did was send the pictures of what I wanted, send the song list and a copy of ceremony script, send the starfish to hang on chairs, and they handled everything wonderfully. The pianist was able to play a mix of songs from claire de lune by Debussy to the Beatles' places I remember. I sent them links to youtube versions that I liked and he nailed it. I cannot speak more highly of the experience. I was mentally prepared for setbacks and not having things turn out exactly as I wanted but I was wrong... Everything came out perfect. 400 400 400 400[/img]

  3. Does anyone happen to have any pics of the gazebo at all? We have booked to have our ceremony on the beach front but on our visit we were only able to catch a glimpse of the aqueducts - our visiting fell a day after the hurricane last October so we were confined to a pick up truck which kept getting stuck in the waterlogged grass! I'm trying to figure whether the gazebo, beach and aqueducts are close to each other as well as decking whether the beach front or gazebo would be the best choice for our ceremony. Andreann did you have a local minister perform your ceremony and if so how was he? I had initially begun planning through Rose Hall directly but in the space of abouts six months they had changed wedding coordinators three times which concerned me! I've now gone with a local planner who has been fantastic!
Hi Aunje Our good friend did the paperwork ato become a minister and we'll also file legal docs in city hall back home. Its easier than going through Jamaican system, since we are not in for more than 6 hours from cruise. Three days away! I will send you pics of Gazebo as soon as I can. Warning with beach front, you might not be able to do ceremony at certain times because of golf course.... For us the gazebo was best because its cooler than other areas but Ill give you more details next week!

While I have had a hard time finding people on this site that have had weddings there I did find this wedding photography website.  They seem to have done a few weddings at the Rose Hall House/aqueducts and the pictures look really pretty.  It gave me a better idea of what to expect.  And after looking at their wedding pictures, make me 100% sure I do not want a wedding at Iberostar - just because of the ceremony locations they offer!

My wedding is a week away!  We are having it on the golf course at Rose Hall, there is a very pretty gazebo overlooking the water with a perfect breeze which is perfect with the heat.

I'll let you guys know how it went!  So far though, I am really happy with the attention to detail and service. Everybody has been extremely helpful and I feel relaxed and like everything is in order.

I have emailed some Wedding Coordinators for price quotes, but am getting really impatient-I just want to make a decision already lol! I do already have a quote from Almarie at Tropical Weddings Jamaica for just the ceremony at the Aqueducts, but am trying to figure out if I want the reception at the Great House or back at the Iberostar. Does anyone already have price quotes or any type of information about what is available for a reception at the Great House (food, music, etc)? We are thinking we will have between 25-50 guests. Thanks in advance for any input, this site has been such a great source of information. : )

She has been a godsend to me trying to plan my cruise wedding, the ceremony at Rose Hall (the gazebo on the golf courses).

  6. I am working with O'Neisha Brown, who is with Rose Hall.  She has been absolutely fantastic.

She has helped us to get some packages of things (like the ceremony programs) to them because we are doing a cruise wedding.

I cannot recommend her enough she has been an absolute darling.

If you are getting married at a Rose Hall Venue (the gazebo, the beach on the golf course, the aqueduct, or the great house) I would definitely recommend working with her. You'll be working directly with Rose Hall Development, who manages all of Rose Hall venues, and makes things much simpler.

  7. DH gate was a total letdown for me.  The first dress I ordered from some company was horrible, very cheap fabric. Ill use it for the trash the dress because its good for picture. The second dress I ordered wasnt made in time, so I had to get a refund (which I did thankfully). The third dress I ordered from babyonline, and was very excited about it. I ordered bridesmaids dresses and they were very nice and well made.

But they dropped the ball on the most important thing. I needed to have the dress here by the end of february and they didn't tell me anything until I wrote them two weeks before to check and be sure that it was on its way and see picture. They told me they wouldnt be able to make it in time because of new years and the snow storm the factory wasn't working.

So I was left without a dress for the reception.

Thank God I bought a White by Vera Wang on sale from David's bridal as my ceremony option. Ill end up using the same one for both, or use a gorgeous Two by Rosa Clara that my cousin gave to me (she wore for her wedding).

Im not thrilled about wearing her dress for the reception, even though its a gorgeous $8k dress its not what I would have picked necessarily... But I'm brining it along the wedding cruise as an option in case the first dress gets too dirty during reception (its on a grassy area by the beach).

One week until wedding so I can't freak out about it now. It is what it is.

But my recommendation is don't use dh gate unless you want it as a second gown option. Be sure you have a backup.

  8. I am so excited!

We were having a very hard time finding a venue for our ceremony, as we are doing a cruise wedding aboard the Liberty of The Seas. Fortunately, my fiancée had a business meeting in Jamaica and found the perfect venue!

We are having our ceremony next to the gazebo on the Rose Hall Golf Course (part of the Ritz Golf Course and Resort). I can't tell you how excited I am!  We were down to the wire (wedding is in one month!) and I was getting worried.  But this place is perfect!

Still don't have details yet... But venue is confirmed!

  9. So after some unfortunate experiences with DH Gate (the first dress that arrived was HIDEOUS and I was unable to get a refund... It looks like a quinceañera dress. So chock it up to a loss of $150 if I can't resell it. I was able to cancel the second dress).

    Third time is the charm???

I ordered again, this time from babyonline (which has had great reviews on this forum) but began to get very anxious as my wedding is a month away and if this one didn't turn out, I had no plan B.

FINALLY yesterday I found a Vera Wang (white collection) for $250!  On David's Bridal. Simple but at least I can be sure of quality in case my other gown doesnt turn out.

In all, I spent $550. If I all goes well, I sell the first dress and the other one I ordered from dh gate is gorges so I can two different dresses, for a total of $400. Worst case, I only wear the Vera for a total of $550.

I am so happy, I was really stressing out about the dress situation and am glad to have that off my chest.

  10. Hi beautiful ladies, I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys. What did you choose for your wedding jewelry?

I am thinking of just doing earrings and a bracelet.

The ceremony colors are turquoise with red accents.

For the reception, I just kept the red since the restaurant is kind of a rich, warm color scheme with reds, oranges, and lost of wood so the turquoise kind of clashed.

Since we are doing a cruise wedding, ceremony is early and there is a big gap between ceremony and reception. I am going to wear a different dress for each (thanks dhgate for making that possible).

I pinned some of the styles I like on pinterest:

I appreciate any comments and help picking out what earrings and bracelet for ceremony and reception!

I'd also love to see what you guys wore or will wear!

  11. Order from babyonline as they seem to have the best ! I am trying to get a refund on the dress that I ordered with other seller and and will order the inbal dror from them. Everyone seems to be happy with them and the images I have seen are great! They also are quick to respond and have good customer service and full guarantee. Of course you cant expect it to look completely like the original! The problem with this dress I think is that it could easily look cheap and show if its made with low quality fabric... But compared to 5k, its worth a risk. Are you doing veil with this?

  12. I already wrote them and told them that I wanted to return it if it doesn't fit the order. This seller has been really bad and doesn't respond to messages! Crossing my fingers because supposedly it will be here in 7 days. I will rush order with baby online if I have to return it. We will see! To all brides who are thinking dhgate, I think babyonline is def the way to go.

  13. Im getting nervous about my "Gemma" style dress... I have been asking to get images of the dress to make sure that they understood my specifications and they sent me a standard image (which is obviously not theirs!). I just received a notification that it has already shipped but based on the communication so far I am worried!

I need the dress by march so I am down to the line with shipping times from dhgate... I don't know wether to wait and hope for the best OR go ahead and order from baby online (man I wished I had ordered from them to begin with!!!) and when first the dress comes, go through the whole return process (assuming that shipping it back doesn't cost me more than the dress did!).

I still have the other dress that I ordered from a different seller that I can use as backup but I haven't seen that one either! So as of now I have zero dresses and am starting to stress out.

    Am I being bridezilla?
