  1. We were married in December 2012 with 75 guests. Here is out wedding video from the ocean coral and turquesa. Get the private balcony dinner so worth it https://vimeo.com/66181951
  2. We got married on December 6th, 2012 at OCT and had 75 guests. We had very little contact with our wedding coordinator prior to arrival (Paula). They are very busy with other weddings. We met with Paula for 3 hours the day after we arrived at the resort. We set up everything at this time. She did everything to what we wanted. The day was flawless. We did not even have a DJ that we paid for and they provided one anyways. We had some of our own decor and center pieces and they were put out for us. The cake options they have at the resort are far more then what you get sent on the order form. Everything you have put on your order form will change once you arrive as alot more options seem to become available. Dont stress about not speaking to the wedding coordinator, the wedding will be great as the coordinators do an incredible job.
  3. @kimandsky We began planning our wedding at the beginning of October and we are getting married Dec 6. You will be fine. The biggest thing is getting the photographer and/or videographer in order, but we are bringing our own with us. We had to put together some order to our ceremony and reception and we have asked a personal friend to be the MC at our wedding. We are not having a DJ. We have had little contact with the wedding coordinator on the resort and we did not hire an outside wedding service to help us. We were sent a bunch of forms to fill out and return to the coordinator and the rest will get done when we meet with the coordinator at the resort upon arrival. We have 75 people coming and we are not worried. Try not to stress as I have never heard of a wedding being screwed up at this resort, and it will be great, simply bc it is in Mexico! Good Luck!
  4. @Danitree and JBandDJ - Thanks for the infor regarding the Ipod hook up. @bunniup - I am not a Gal haha but I have heard alot of good things about the snorkelling trip from the resort and you are not going to get cheaper then $20.00. If you are looking for an all day trip you could go to Xel - Ha which we have been to a few times and it very nice and alot of fish. Your food and drink is included in this trip and costs about $50.00 at the gate of Xel Ha, well at leas that was the cost in 2011.
  5. We are also getting married the same week. Our Wedding is on the 6th at 2 PM with dinner on the terrace. Our Group is roughly 75 ppl. We will be arriving on November 28th and leaving on December 9th. Sounds like the resort is going to be very busy! We are just using the microphone and CD player for the reception. Does anyone know if an Ipad can be plugged into this or do we have to burn CDs with music on them. Also, does anyone know of a good Cenote to trash the dress in. We have our own photographer and videographer travelling with us and any advice on this would be great. Thanks Brad and Dee
