  1. I'm on the road bu

Just booked March 5, 2014 at 4pm. :) Can't decide location: Beach vs Gazebo, anyone who's been there before, does the Gazebo look better in real life than their photo?? Also: Photography, I'm booking with Stacey Clarke, she has AMAZING photos!! She will cover the $300 USD Outside Vendor fee Palladium charges, and I find her packages very reasonable. Question for the PJ brides: Wedding packages: has anyone heard if it is possible to make modifications for each package? For example, the most basic package only has a one tier cake, what if I like the decorations but want more cake tiers, or change flowers to orchids? Has anyone talked to any staff there about this? Thanks and happy planning!
t I can send u pics ... Personally I think the gazebo is way better. it poured my wedding day so I has to have it at the spa but we went to the site prior and I totally think its the way to go.

Has anyone started looking into Photographers, or hair and make up yet? I know it's early, but it's so hard to tell when is the right time to book these things! all I read about is how in demand the good ones are, but I guess that's a good sign!!! :) I want to get some prices from Rashel Edwards, and have been looking at Zuluspro Photography.. have heard great things about both of them!

Any ideas from you guys kicking about yet?

Rashel is the way to go. I had Pretty FAces though but- She did a great job too :)  As you can see, Idk anything about Zuluspro... but another one to look into is Stacey Clarke... along with a TTD the next day. Very creative and awesome!

So we've booked! Finally :) May 5th, 2014 4pm. We had been looking for the 6th, but the time was taken, and I didn't fancy having the ceremony any earlier than that. When I sent in my info for the deposit, she also confirmed that we could have the Poseidon as well, which is perfect. Yay! The only other things I'm worried about looking at now is Hair/Makeup, and photography. Once we book those, I'm so happy to sit back and relax until we get closer. No sense at all worrying about menus and spaces and entertainment until we're at least in the same year :)

Stacey Clarke--  is THE BEST :)   I HIGHLY recommend her. She did my wedding at GP last week. She's awesome and took amazing pics. :)

Congratulations! I have found this site so helpful in my planning.  I am a way early starter, have to wait until Dec 2014 for the big day..lol. I was planning on getting married at the beach until I saw the gazebo now I just don't know.  We will probably decide once we get there.

just fyi, I just got back, Gazebo to me is def the way to go!!  Its gorgeous!!

Well, I just got back Saturday. My wedding was Monday May 27th. I will start off by saying this.... the TRIP WAS EPIC. :)  Everyone had an amazing time. The reception was great. But the resort and wedding staff def isn't 5 star. It was not very organized and did have the couple instances with staff, but NOTHING MAJOR! It rained on my wedding day so we had to have the ceremony changed to indoors, so that may have caused some more confusion. With that said, it was STILL SPECIAL AND WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD. The resort is beautiful!! We had the best honeymoon suite in 3063. You can find my ceremony at this link http://youtu.be/tsI4RpMK0qE   ...  You can see everyone didn't know what to do. lol Every guest said the steel drum band was KEY AND LOVED IT. The Z show at the reception was a hit. I STRONLY recommend those 2 things. Minus all the little things, I had the time of my life! Feel free to ask any questions.

let me rephrase, the resort was gorgeous-- def 5 star! (but there were def variations between rooms)...  Most staff/waiters etc were 4 stars. All the staff was extremely nice to us. WE had no problems. The one thing is my husband on wedding day called for a ride and got hung up on mulitple times and a cart never came. A couple things happened like that but nothing major. All the waiters etc were good... sometimes slow but hospitable.

  6. also,  I also recommend Stacey Clarke for photography. She did amazing and was pretty much my wedding coordinator  (she told me what to do when I was lost.)  Her sneak peak can be found on her fbook page.  Did I mention she and her assistant Jeffrey were AMAZING. No lie, we all didn't want her to go! lol    try looking here for my wedding (Nate and Julia)  :)    https://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.554719611240541.1073741843.130607250318448&type=1     ...   Since it rained majority of the night, it only let up for a bit to take a couple pics. The pics with my hair up, is the wedding day... pics with my hair down, is TTD the next morning.

I just booked our date ( we didn't get the one we wanted at first) so our date is Dec 7, 2013... I am trying to find extra info on reception prices and extras.. just wondering if anyone on here can give me their costs for the reception.. we booked the blue lagoon for the reception.

    thanks and happy planning!

Well you make it pretty much what you want.  Have you been the palladiumweddings.com??  You rented the blue lagoon which means you will first choose a menu which will range $45-65 per person. The resort will only email you this list. Then on the palliumweddings.com-- you just pick and choose what you want. Will you pay for a DJ which is 900$ for 3 hours or 1200 for 4 hours etc etc. You can pay for a show and so on. So the cost 100% depends on how many guests. You can choose to book outside the resort but they charge fees in order to do so.

We are having a large reception back home.  My invitations should arrive in the mail today!  I am still needing to make my OOT bags and I would like to do a program.  How are your plans going?

I get there that previous Thursday, May 23rd and staying the following Fri, May 31st. I didn't plan on doing a reception back home cause everyone at first seemed hell bent on going. And now we have spent so much $$ on other stuff that I don't think i can when I get back home.. cause we are moving possibly too. Anyways!!

Its going alright! We are doing 4pm at the Wedding Gazebo with steel drum band. Blue lagoon reception with DJ and possibly that Dance show that starts with a Z. :)  But part of me wants to cancel the reception there so it won't be many of us and have a reception at home. I am using Stacey Clarke for my pictures so I can have a TTD after my wedding sometime. I am not making OOT bags cause my family assured me not to worry bout it. I gave pretty expensive bridesmaids gifts.. and groomsgift. I may make my own programs and a "need to know brochure" (before they leave). I also plan on asking if i can let the Chinese light lanterns at the end of my wedding that I bought.  If I decide not to do the reception, I'm not sure what I'll do. I do know the day after, which is your wedding day :), that I am doing a catamaran Cruise for my guests. It will be fun ..

    How are your plans looking?!

hum, that is confusing. I really thought True Colors is the resort's chosen photographers. I can't imagine you would pay the fee for them. Who told you that? otherwise, that defeats the purpose of using them.  I get married the day before you!?  How's your planning going??!! :)

  11. Ok. Thank u sooo much for responding bc I was getting a tad discouraged! So, a couple questions then, 1- did y'all have a dj etc or what? 2- who did y'all use for the catamaran cruise?? Dream?? I have been searching ... Thanks for responding! Cause I was really was discouraged there for a bit... We didn't book the poseidon , we booked the other place cause we thought we were going to be having at least 30 and then people started dropping like flies! Even my hair and make up girl that was coming--- so I had a moment when rasheal etc was all booked for my day! Lol so ThAnKs!
And if u don't mind giving me a range on how much pp the cruise was so I don't get screwed by transportation costs from the palladium ;)
  12. Yes I did ! We had 18 in total! I felt the number was perfect for a initimate ceremony and party! The atmosphere is the hotel is unbelievable I felt I have family and friends all around us congratulating us and cheering us on the entire night! I even had people come watch the ceremony and come up to us after and tell us how amazing it was for them :) we had the reception at the Poseidon and it was perfect! I was really upset since the pics I saw werent nice but I was so happy to have it there! We paid for the sit down dinner which was worth every penny ! The dinner and service was amazing ! Although I did wish we got the restaurant. for longer! I felt like it went so quickly ! We did do the cruise and it was the best tour I've ever been on we S&S the morning sail and snorkel 90 bucks and it sail us to margirtiville too! The entire trip was amazing hey even take professional pics on board! My fave was the bar that was included ! It's a must heading to jamaica ! Congrats!

  13. Did anyone else have a small, small wedding?? I am only expecting 19, then us... mostly family. Still may get up to 23 thought...Turns out, we picked the busiest time for everyone... which kinda has me down a little that hardly anyone can come.  If anyone here had small weddings, what did yall do??   I can't imagine not having a reception :*(  but I can't imagine spending $3000 on 20 people- yikes! If anyone has any ideas or you think I should stll have a reception, although I think it would feel empty,  let me hear your thoughts!

Did anyone do catamaran cruises? I am thinking of doing one for the folks that come??

I was told that the packages only include 8 pictures but you can always buy more.  Check them out at www.truecolorsphotos.com They can give you more details.

Do you know have anyone has had their makeup and hair done by spa?? Do you have the prices etc??  I am wondering how they did. I read a couple of folks were upset so I'm trying to decide if I'm going to hire someone off the resort or what. thanks

Since the last time I posted that message we have also decided to go with fake bridemaid flowers too lol My parents local florist in their small town gave us a price we couldnt pass up! :)

Did you get the dresses from Davids bridal? I saw that colour their! beautiful, I think thats an amazing colour for a destination wedding

and yes, im still shocked how many people we have coming to our wedding lol

yes they are from Davids bridal, We decided on guava and told them they could choose whatever dress they felt the best in :)  I think with the light blue and ocean, and blue lagoon, that color will stand out and mesh well !!  I found fake ones online I'm ordering but not paying a ton for bridemaids bouquets when they will have em for like 30 mins!

    her website is: http://staceyclarkephotography.com

I tried posting something and it disappeared so IDK if it'll appear... but as I was saying- I actually booked Stacey a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be more excited. Everyone who has used her in the past seems very satisfied with her work and loved her. She also pays the resort $300 fee so thats nice! I think you made a great decision bc I know I looked long and hard!
