Hello! I am brand new to this forum. I tried to find the answers to my questions on here, but I couldn't seem to find a thread that covered it all. So if I am repeating someone else, please direct me to the correct thread. I will be having my destination wedding in Las Vegas. Two weeks after we return we will be having our AHR at a really nice banquet hall here in town. I will be inviting about 150 people (all family and friends) and I was wondering if we could still have a 'normal' reception. I will not be wearing my wedding dress, but I did find a really cute short wedding dress I will be wearing that is only $80! My main concerns: Can I have a first dance with my husband? Should we do flower/garter toss? Should we do a dollar dance? Should we register for gifts if we're not having a wedding shower? I would like to do all of the above, but I am not sure what the etiquette is here. At the reception we will be showing the video of our wedding, and also doing about a 6-8 minute photo slideshow while the guests eat dinner. Any ideas are helpful! Thank you.
