  1. It is a small room but all of my girls fit and we hung out until everyone was finished. It was hard to get food and drinks while we where at the spa. I would recommend ordering drinks and munchies about an hour before you actually want them.
  2. We had a private reception for 60 people. The "basics" are included... We had round tables that were provided (square tables cost more), basic table white table cloths and napkins were provided as part of your package. I found that the prices of things really did depend on the number of guests that are attending. Less than 20 is all a part of the package. Over 20 and you start paying for lots of extras. I had my hair and makeup done and loved them both! I took a photographer with me. It ended up being cheaper to take the photographer and his wife than getting an outside vendor. We also were able to have pictures of all our events and not just our wedding day.

  5. Our Wedding was April 5th and it truly amazing! I as well as my mother-in-law are very detail oriented and had some minor issues but overall were blown away with how beautiful everything was. Flight: first of all some brides mentioned that the airplane offered a closet for the wedding dress. We flew AirTran and they did not have a closed available. So, I rolled my dress (sleeping bag style) into my carry on and it worked out fine. Depending on who you are flying with be VERY careful with the weight limit and the number of suitcases that you are bringing. Upgrading to first class gives you free drinks and two free bags I had several bags and two big boxes with welcome bags and welcome bag goodies. They were rapped tight with duck tape and customs began to show them some attention at the airport until I pulled out the printed receipts. They did not even read them just looked at them and said ok! When coming through customs they have a button that you push. If it is green you walk right through if it is red they go through your bags.Out of 15 of us only 1 person had a red light.Thank goodness it was not me with my 9 bags Transportation: We had a private transfer since we had over 15 people flying with us. The bus was late due to extra security so keep that delay in your mind just in case. The drive was around 25 minutes and we passed a Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and a Hooters just in case you are in the mood for some wings. Check -In: Check in was easy. We were greeted with a drink and a towel. We were a part of the excellence club so we were moved to a different area to check in. It took us longer than the non excellence club members to check in but we did discuss some wedding information. The excellence club lounge was very nice and offered food, drinks, computers and a place to sit. Room: We had planned on staying in a "normal" room with a rooftop pool. The room was amazing! Everything that you see in the pictures! However, we decided to upgrade to the honeymoon suite. If you are having several guests or a large wedding party and are able to upgrade to the homeymoon suit, I would highly recommend it. Large groups of us ended up in our room several nights and the room was able to handle the extra people. It also looked amazing in the getting ready shots the day of the wedding. Wedding Meeting: Alejandro was waiting for us when we arrived at the resort and gave us an envelope with our appointment time. We met with him the next day and went over all the information and took a tour of the venue sights that we would be using. This first meeting is when we gave him all of the things that we brought for the wedding (cake topper, custom cigar bands, candles, candle holders). We had questions about some of the items that we rented so Alejandro suggested that we have another meeting with Fernanda. We scheduled an appointment with Fernanda the next day. We were scheduled to meet at 3 and when walking in for the meeting Alejandro met us at the door and asked if we could move it to 4. We agreed and went back to join our friends. We went back at 4 for the meeting and waited until 5 for Fernanda to arrive. I was not very happy about leaving our friends and family at the pool to wait for an hour but the meeting was productive and I felt much better about everything. *Both meetings were very helpful! However I would prearrange to meet with both of them at the same time if you rented several things. ALSO BE VERY CLEAR WITH WHAT YOU WANT BACK AT THIS TIME. EVERYTHING WAS RETURNED TO OUR ROOM OUR WEDDING NIGHT EXCEPT OUR CENTERPIECES (we asked if the centerpieces would be returned and we were told yes). Normally I would not be that concerned about missing flowers but we spent a lot of money on them. I would have really liked to pass them out to family members. WE WERE TOLD THAT WE HAD TO TELL THEM AT THE MEETING WE WANTED THEM BACK. Rehearsal Dinner: Since we had more than 20 people we were forced to have a private event and pay $22 per person. I was not thrilled that we had to pay more money for food and drinks at an all inclusive resort. Let me just say... It was worth every penny! The rehearsal dinner was amazing!!! It could have passed as our reception. The food, service, and decorations were fantastic!!! (We choose the Caribbean buffet) Wedding: The wedding was beautiful! We had gold chairs, flowers on the gazebo, a guitarist, and rose pedals on the isle. I would highly recommend the flowers ($350)! They really did make all a huge difference! The only thing I did not like was that the photographer, videographer, and "minister" were all in the isle and blocked the view off all of our guests. Cocktail Hour: We had a mariachi band, cigar roller, Mexican decorations, passed drinks and apps. The band and cigar roller were great! Everyone loved both, especially the cigar roller. We did have to ask to have more drinks passed. The cigar roller did a great job but did not speak any English (just as a heads up). Reception: The reception was better than I had even imagined! Everything was beautiful! It was one of my favorite meals that I had the whole trip. The decorations were perfect! The only complaint comes from my husband about the music. However, the music was our fault. We sent the DJ a list of our favorite songs. The DJ however picked some of our least favorite songs off of our favorite songs list. He also only played 2 slow songs and they were back to back. So, if you or your hubby are particular about the music, I would make a very detailed list. I and all of our guests thought that the music was wonderful!!!
