Sorry should have switched the right and left shoe around so it read "I do" and "Do I" guess I was too excited.
Since our dog, Yoshi could not be with us, I made sure we still have a reminder of him on our wedding day
Sadly the pictures just don't seem to do them justice, the colors are so much more vibrant in person.
Until next time!
These look fabulous!

Here is what I accomplished this past week:
Our ceremony program fans
My hands do sure hurt after cutting out all of these petals, but it was totally worth it. I found some great white shimmer cardstock at Michaels craft store (and of course used a coupon) and used the shimmer cardstock for all the white petals and for my menu's (see below). Unfortunately the picture really doesn't do it justice, the shimmer makes a huge difference and is really easy to print on. I had a template from another BDW bride and changed the colors and style to fit our theme.
Our reception will be at a nice beach resort just a few miles from Lindquist Beach. We are having a buffet lunch, just because I couldn't decided what to eat
We wanted a very relaxing and laid back lunch. Here is the picture of our reception area at Sunset Grille
Menu's
I used Microsoft Publisher to create the menu's and printed them on the same white shimmer cardstock as above. I bought the Martha Stewart sand dollar punches and used that at the top of each menu so the underlying cardstock would show through. I then couldn't decide whether to mount them on the turquoise or sea foam green cardstock because the seahorse background is a really nice light green and matched the green cardstock perfectly, but all of my other projects I had used the turquoise cardstock....So I decided to do half green and half blue and will have them alternate colors around the table.
I couldn't resist making these really cute cocktail stirrers.
I used some of our existing logos that I had made and used that for one side of the stirrer. I created these again using Microsoft publisher. I printed them on full sheets (8.5x11") of shipping labels, this made it so I didn't have to use glue
I just wrapped them around the stirrers and then just cut out the triangle to make them look like flags. Here is how I picture them on the table
Now of course I had a lot of extra paper and scraps that I didn't use for projects so I used my Martha Steward punches and made confetti for the ceremony and to decorate the tables during lunch.
I'll be working on OOT bag items and sand dollar escort cards later today, so I will be sure to share them with everyone!
Absolutely love the stir sticks! and making confetti, so resourceful

Hi jriftin,
Making our wedding website was a lot of fun. We used weddingwire.com. My fiance even helped with selecting things to put on the site, and was very hands on in the creation. I looked into making one with theknot, and found weddingwire to be more user friendly. Also, its free, and you also can make a personal free weblink. Weddingwire is very easy to use. I liked how you could personalize the webpage, background, colors etc. We were able to add pictures and customize each page layout. We were able to add different pages and create our RSVP on the website. There was also tonnes more that I used with wedding wire. for example, I compiled my guest list using their setup, and then used their features to import everyone's address. Such a fantastic tool!
Good luck with your website creation

Thank you for sharing this story! Life is truly precious and we are given today as a gift. We aren`t guaranteed tomorrow and to love now in the present is truly amazing. I am so lucky to have found my love that I am so anxious to marry and to spend my life creating memories with for years to come.

We will be spending the night apart. The day of the wedding we are planning to not see each other until before the ceremony. This is one tradition we are happy to keep with having a DW.

Welcome Lisa!
Im also from calgary
My FI and I made a list of what was important to us in a resort and location. We pretty much did the same as FireyNurse and laid out the different resorts and packages in front of us and made comparisons. Our TA was a huge help in narrowing down our list.
My friend is getting married in Vegas April 2013 at Mandalay Bay and is getting the ultimate package which includes every detail of her wedding.
Happy to share any info

That is like our resort as well. We have to pay the resort photographer a $500 fee for bringing in an outside photographer.

We are getting married June 12, 2013 in mexico and are planning to get legally married the month before. Only our immediate family and a handful of very close friends know that we will be legally married prior to Mexico. We don`t plan to do anything fancy for the marriage here- just going down to the JP office and then going for lunch after with my family. We will be using our mexico wedding date as our official anniversary date.

Hi everyone!
My FI and I are booked at the Barcelo Tropical for June 12, 2013.
-Modizzle, what topics specifically are you interested in?

Hello fellow BDW subscribers.
I've been browsing through this forum for a little while and I'm truly impressed with the support, ideas, suggestions and creatvity that everyone has to offer. My FI and I are getting married June 2013 at the Barcelo Maya Tropical, Riviera Maya. Since we picked our destination with the help of a TA to narrow down all the choices it has been such a relief. We just decided on our invitations and ordered them and I can't wait to continue the planning process. Look forward to sharing this experience with all of you.
Happy planning
