Just an FYI ladies........not to freak you out, but I've had 2 people from my trip have to go to the doctor for antibiotics that can't get over the stomach deal. We had over 30 people sick for at least a day. I wish we knew what caused it, but we can't seem to pinpoint it. Just be aware of what you are eating and make sure everyone knows not to drink the water!

Everyone at mine got sick aswell... bring lots of upset tummy meds!!

Sorry didnt finish but the total for the DJ is 800-which is just for the three hours, so Im assuming 1050.

I think thats what it is Natalie!  They are so confusing there, remember in my review I said at the Reception Lianny told us it was $250 extra at $10 a head when we asked for the extra hour.... we said deal for $250... it was when we checked out it was $250+$250 and she came to the front desk so we could speak to her and she said that she told us it was $250 for the reception room and $250 for the Dj............. which she did not say beforehand... Just budget for the extra.. is all I can suggest  .... we ended up paying $1000 total for extras at checkout of random wedding stuff......... I believe this was not my fault but all do of the lack of communication we deal with...... so have a extra cushion  if you are uncertain of things before you go to be safe!

Hello ladies we leave in 3 weeks and was wondering if we can do a lot of the deciding once we get there like the center pieces and other things cause it just seems like they are very busy right and don't respond for over a week thanks ladies

    Feb,

You will be able to choose the centre pieces/ flowers/ and other unanswered details with your wedding coordinator once you have your meeting, everything will be perfect and they will be waiting for you!  It may not seem like it now but it will go perfect on your meeting day!

  6. Ladies the 3 hours we had in our Package for the DJ was not long enough, we ended up getting the extra hour while we were there because people were just getting into the groove of dancing and digesting dinner!!  It ended up costing $500 extra because it included the Reception Location plus the DJ....  But the 4 hours was needed and the Disco does not open until 11pm!!  Our Wedding was also at 4pm and adding the extra hour made us run just in time to go to the Disco for opening!

  7.  Staying on the  Adults Only side is a great option for people that may have no children.  I had guests say they were so happy to be on that side and not the Palace side.  It is alot quieter and if you are anti-child, couples or older you appreciate not being around kids screaming.  Also the buffet on the Adults side is quieter.  The food was prepped nicer, not as picked over, no lines (with families all trying to make an omlette etc.)  Also there is always seating in the dining area of the buffet.  Twice me and my hubby on the palace side got our food but walked and walked and could NOT find a table to eat our breakfast at.   Also the buffet on the Adults side is quieter... ...  SO I would have to say that the Buffet deal is a big deal!  As humans we like our food and the buffet on this side is sooooooo much better!!  The pool on the adults side is nice but it doesn't have the swim up bar.  The palace side pools are more the party pools and that's where the activities team is so the music is bumping over there!  We had mini speakers that we brought with us to the beach or placed on the poolside if you like to listen to tunes! The Lobby-bar on the Adults side is also very nice, good service, quality drinks and a cappuccino machine too :D... the decor and ambiance is very inviting in the evening with beautiful furniture and lights.... they have the stage there and you get live shows like the Palace side... but again no children and its aimed at Adult entertainment.   So at the end of this blurb I would recommend that if your guests are NOT upgrading to a Junior Suite and do NOT have children (teehee) encourage the Adults side :D

  8. With the resort credits I don't believe anyone used them.  They were all something you had to use if you were buying a service and you could use it like a coupon.  My guests tried to use the Casino money as-well that we got with check-in and it was pure chaos!   You couldn't use it on any game of your choice it had to be table games like black jack... not roulette... or any others.. not slots... not Texas hold-em. You couldn't just use the resort money you had to bet a min of $10USD and bet 1 of the resort credits with it.    Its like some of the coupons were to get you to do things... its a good way of advertising for the resort that is for-sure!!  The Coupons can be useful if you were planning on already having a service like a massage then getting it discounted....  There are many free activities on the resort and the coupons and the things in the booklet are just money wasters/scam.... in my eyes and my guests!

hello ladies, iam getting married in feb and was wondering if you booked online with the spa to get your updo for the wedding and if you did what was the updo called on the wedsite? thanks ladies

    Hello < Feb2012

You don't have to book your up-do at the spa!  That is what your wedding coordinator is for.   The day you meet with her she will give  you your weeks itinerary and call the spa and book for you herself.  It makes it much easier, our wedding coordinators speak fluent English and Spanish and have high authority so when they take care of details they get it done right for you!  Just bring pictures of what you want for your bridal hair and makeup and they will follow that as a guideline!  Its too easy so don't worry!!

Alright ladies that have been there..........I'm leaving in 14 days!

    • What are your options for the actual ceremony? We are having a symbolic wedding, but how did the sand ceremony work? Did they provide the stuff? (I already bought stuff.) Also we've written our own vows......will they let us read them?
    • Yes they will let you read your own vows, We didn't do that because Kyle was too nervous to memorize anything.  The vows they did for us were very simple and cute~ Not religious.  Also we brought our own Sand Ceremony.  Lianny said the Sand Ceremony words and then we poured.  The big disappointment when we got our Sand Ceremony back the next day in my suitcase... the sand was mixed together like they had spilled it and the cork was gone and they had put saran wrap with an elastic on top... when we got home our sand ceremony was completely mixed together... blue and white sand... the pictures look great though... I am going to buy a new sand ceremony and pour our mixed sand and new sand together.... so make sure everything is packed correctly :(
    • I'm having the Caribbean Trio play at our ceremony. Does anyone else have experience with this?
    • We had the trio and it was alot of fun and worth it.  It really sets the tropical mood for everyone and they walk down the aisle behind you!  Everyone enjoyed it as well!
    • For the reception. do they provide cake cutting utensils? Champagne glasses for the toast?
    • The glasses for the toast and the cake utensils are provided!  Lianny even helped us...  the little plates and everything are there waiting with the cake!
